E3 Booth Babes Speak: What To Do, What Not To Do

You know, I only just recently realized we went through the entire E3 show this year without ever mentioning the booth babes.

...the hell is wrong with us. Well, the following video from Spike TV addresses a subject we've all thought about at one point or another: "how do you hit on a booth babe?" The footage includes stories of how guys have attempted it in the past, and perhaps the best advice comes from the first chick: just don't do it. The girls are hot as always, and the common reaction seems to be shyness or awkwardness - good goddamn, I thought gamers were past that - but hey, some journalists are really on edge during that week, ya know? A little stressed. A little frazzled. So give 'em a break, girls.

And by the way, when a reporter of any kind asks a girl such questions, the girl will invariably lie. Just trust me on this. One of my former gigs required that... It doesn't matter. Let's just say that the truth wouldn't have made for much of a booth babe video: be pleasant, relaxed, and if she finds you interesting, you'll know it. If she doesn't, you'll know that, too, and there ain't a thing you can do about it.

P.S. Forget the bbs.  Just gimme that reporter...

Wouldn't have to tell me twice, it's like hitting on a hot waitress, they just don't want you to do it. Nothing makes you any different from the six million others.

That's not true. There's always a way to get a girl interested.

Still, it's best not to bother someone at work unless it's clear that you have a shot and aren't just a face in the crowd. You put them on the spot and might not get a real reaction.

If they didn't want to be hit on, they shouldn't have become booth babes.

In all seriousness...why would anyone start on hitting on a booth babe?

Really just don't do it - I mean hell have a pleasant conversation - just be a gamer...that's what E3 is for...E3 needs gamers!

Ben, have you ever gone to E3?

She should promote the PSP instead of Marcus.

Hey! Marcus is alright, but he's not gonna convince me to buy a psp, though. Had one and sold it, just didn't use it. I do my gaming in front of big TVs with surround sound. Not Marcus' fault.

I wouldn't hit on a booth babe, when a woman is trying to do her job, especially when that job involves her using her physical assets, it takes all the fun out of any kind of flirtation. I can see why dudes get a nervous, there's something a little self conscious about the interaction; the guys obviously know the chicks are hot, the girls know it (they're flaunting it and getting paid) so there is nothing unspoken, no subtly, no fun... I don't think I explained my thought very well.

Gamer guys need to learn, for most women one of the biggest turn offs is nervous gibbering. Have some confidence, what's the worst that could happen, she says no like you're dirt. So what, if that's her attitude she isn't worth it anyway.

That redhead. OH MY HOTNESS! The others, not so much. Maybe the brunette. Normally I prefer blondes... BikerSaint, I will fight you for her. First we have to get to Rosa's Cantina (get the reference?).

B-RadGfromOV, (odd name) isn't saying black racist nowadays? Ah, bugger it, PC is for people who care.

No it's not. "African American" is. It's presumptuous, and prejudiced to assume that someone comes from Africa... Plus, you'd call me white, I'm definitely not the color white, so, whatever. No double standards...

I don't call whites whites, I call 'em pinkies. LOL, no I'm just kidding. We don't have African Australians, just Aborigines and Torres Straight Islanders, so I just assumed with the touchy touchy American legal system nowadays that you were maybe being politically incorrect, but I guess it's cool.
Peace.

easy!
last year me and a few mates went to the motor show, there was this really hot booth babe working for lotus.
she was in a skin tight leather suit so freaking tight you could see every line, every curve!
so my mate goes up to her and says "how much vasaline did it take to get that on?" she laughs than offeres to get in the car with him for a pic.
wish i thought of that!

I'm curious where that picture up there came from, because most of the photographs on the wall in the back seem to be E! related. I definitely see Joel McHale, Chelsea Handler, the Kardashians, and the Girls Next Door.

Words of wisdom from the Highlands.

The best and easiest way to get a woman interested is to be comfortable with you, yourself and who you are, and be *that* person. Be genuine and don't simply spin a line, a genuine approach has a certain air of honest authenticity. That'll get you past the first hurdle because it will be a fairly unusual approach compared to most.

Whether we want to admit it or not, women have a very good nose for detecting BS. Unless you're drop dead amazingly gorgeous (in a very male way), they will simply shrug off anything you say as complete crap and ignore you. Which is, by the way, why most Booth Babes and other moderately hot women tend to look straight through most gamers and other less than genuine men.

That was the words of wisdom from the Highlands where men wear kilts and women wear smiles.

Think about it...

Don't waste your time on models if you appreciate something called a brain...

There are ones out there w. intelligence and beauty and those aren't the ones dressing up in tight leather and standing around a new game display at E3

Can you imagine their shame when they realize that the years of anticipation created by boob-physics in games are destroyed by the reality? I hope that if they feint at the realization, they have a soft landing and awaken to discover that the truth is far better than the fiction...
