Rumor: Hulu Headed To The PSN
Although it was first rumored to involve Microsoft, it appears now that Sony might steal the limelight.
We had heard whispers about Hulu teaming up with the Xbox Live service but suddenly, a report from Bloomberg suggests that Sony might announce an agreement with the online TV company as early as next week. According to "two people with knowledge of the talks," the PlayStation 3 will receive the benefit of Hulu soon; those who have signed up for the PlayStation Network will have access, thereby giving them a chance to download current prime-time TV shows from major networks like NBC, ABC, and Fox. This probably doesn't mean that Hulu has switched teams, but more likely that they wish to expand by placing their popular service at the disposal of both PS3 and 360 owners. Neither Patrick Seybold for the PSN or Christina Lee for Hulu would comment on the matter, which is usually a good sign from a journalist's standpoint. For what may be around $10/month, you could get Hulu along with all the other goodies on the Network and the Marketplace...no word on if it might be worked into the freshly revealed PlayStation Plus premium service.
At some point, we'll have to ask ourselves the obvious question: do we really need anything else in our entertainment centers besides video game consoles? Consoles that do so much more than just play games?

Yea they wrote on their website or something that they weren't allowing ps3 to connect anymore. Every work around people found hulu blocked. I used to use it to catch up on shows since I could never watch them but oh well.
@Frylock
That's the business. I think fallon is in the casual crowd. He was saying how much of a hardcore gamer he was but that's just a lie. I can't really say I'm a big fan of those need for speed games. They were fun but they are lacking a lot now! Criterion spoiled me with burnout paradise. Now that's awesome!

Not true about Jimmy. I'm friends with Jimmy's best friend -- Jimmy's best friend and I worked together before he left to join Jimmy's writing staff -- and I know Jimmy is pretty hard core, at least he was before he got married (marriage changes a lot, believe me). Jimmy bought his PS3, 360, and Wii all at launch... the same with his PS2, etc...

i really wish they would stop wasting their time and money though, i mean if i want to watch TV thats what i have foxtell and the net for.
i bought my ps3 for games and nothing but games.
they could of put all the time and money used to get netflix, facebook and twitter to more productive things like saving their London studio!
its no wonder there bleeding money when they keep pissing it away like this!!!!!!!!!!
sony, can we PLEASE go back to the good old ps2 days where a gaming console was just that a device to play games on.
NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS!

these things sonys adding are not coming for free, they dont just end up on sonys door step delivered by the stalk.
they have to spend money and research into these things, as ive said a million times that money and time would be better spent on fixing their internal studios.
if a dams leaking you fix the cracks you dont go and add more water to it!

on the psblog for us they have no mention of free lbp. all they talk about is 3 months free.
about ps+ as posted by ps blog us:
Game updates and demos will also automatically install and the next time you turn on your PS3 you will see a brief on-screen message letting you know what has been downloaded and updated.
Here are some more answers to frequently asked questions from the last blog post:
Cross-game voice chat is a feature we know our passionate user base has asked for and we’ll continue to look at as a viable offering for the PlayStation Network.
i posted this earlier in another post:
Hermen Hulst from Guerrilla games will be demoing Killzone 3 on late night with jimmy fallon. im not here to promote that idiot, just wanted everyone to know if you wanted to see it. i guess he played need for speed last night and sucked at it. i doubt he will be very good at this game but whatever. why do stupid people get to be so lucky?
