Quantum Theory Multiplayer Info
Now that we know Quantum Theory will finally be launching in September for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it's probably time to learn more about the multiplayer details.
For the game that looks an awful lot like Gears of War, the multiplayer appeal should be obvious. And according to 1Up, Japanese gaming publications have started releasing the info onliners crave. Thus far, we know about three online multiplayer modes (there may be more), and they are as follows:
Dead or Alive: Players are divided into two teams and kill each other for points. Whichever side has the most points at the end of the best two-out-of-three match is the winner.
Executioner: Your basic deathmatch mode. Rounds last ten minutes, and again, whoever's racked up the most points at the end wins.
Guardian: In this mode, players are divided into two teams, each with a female "leader" character. You must fight the opposing team while keeping your leader from dying -- as long as she's alive, team members can respawn infinitely.
If you want an updated look at the game in question, head onto the PSN and download the new trailer. It's pretty darn stylish and "kill it" just might be the title's catch-phrase. Tecmo Koei insists it's not a carbon copy of Epic's fantastic franchise but the similarities are obvious...not that that's a bad thing, per se. EA flat-out admitted to emulating elements of God of War with their action slashfest, Dante's Inferno, and that turned out all right, no? There's nothing wrong with emulating greatness.

Maybe more gameplay and reviews will change my mind, but I'm probably not getting the game.

Well, the Gears soldiers are 300-pound behemoths, plus gear, that run around like they are 150 pounds. How is that realistic?
Realistic is being a big guy carrying 100-pounds-plus of gear and not running around the war zone like Usain Bolt.
Do you really think real-life soldiers, who carry 100-pound-plus gear packs in the field, are running like sprinters?
I'm not saying all games should be realistic because how much fun would that be? But some realism is good.
I'm just commenting on your "realistic" comment.
