Kojima Working On "Third Entry In Conceptual Science Series"

One of the biggest questions circulating throughout the gaming community these days is, "what is Hideo Kojima making?"

There have been rumors aplenty but all we really know is that he put the new Zone of the Enders on hold to focus on a mystery project. Some say it's a new Metal Gear Solid. Others say it's something entirely new. Well, perhaps the latter group is closer to correct: according to GamingBolt citing Chiyomaru Shikura, the head of Japanese media company, 5pb, Kojima's new title will be an "adventure game." But at the same time, it isn't new; it's the third entry in a "conceptual science series." Said Shikura:

"The meaning of why I am personally connected to this project is that this is the third entry in a conceptual science series. And that it is a project with Kojima.

Kojima told me that he wanted to make an adventure game. We’re at the still stage where we need to go to a secluded spot in the mountains and hash this project out, and thus, we don’t have any of the minute details hammered out."

Plus, we've got the rumored involvement of No More Heroes creator Suda 51, who apparently has been spotted working with Kojima a few times in the past year. Now, we're just wondering if Shikura is simply referring to the new Zone of the Enders that is currently on the back-burner; after all, it would be the third installment in the franchise and it could - theoretically - be called a "conceptual science series." But what else could it be...?

Same here.
The only reason I haven't picked up Peace Walker is because of some strong rumours that it may be appearing on the PS3 as a PSN release with improved graphics.

Same here. Am going to buy Peace Walker today. This will be my next game purchase in a while. I'll be trapped in Europe for all of August. I'm going to wait to open in till then.

Can't wait to see what Kojima has been hiding.

A new "No More Heroes" game would be the third in that series as well....and I remember hearing a while back that they wanted to bring the series beyond its Wii exclusiveness.

From the clues we presently have, that might be the best bet. I would be just a little surprised at Kojima's involvement....unless he's a big fan of the series.

Ugh, all this talk about ZoE3 is torture, a 3rd part in that epic series would be so undeniable epic.

If not ZoE3 then maybe it's a game in the line of Snatcher and Policenauts?

I would love to see Peace Walker on the PS2 or on the PSN, I don't want to shell out $200 for a PSP just to play the game.

I'm hoping ZOE 3. I've never played the series but it looks promising. The story looks good too.

Here's hoping when ZOE 3 comes we also get a ZOE 1 and ZOE 2 collections pack like we did with GOW. I really want to play the first two games but can't find them anywhere.

Konami has alway been one of my favorite devs.

If it is a new Metal Gear Solid, I'd love to see a remake of the first two metal gear games from the MSX2.

It was an awesome experience even playing the original versions from the Subsistence extras.

Personally I'm really hoping it is ZoE3.
For a second I thought it might end up being Boktai 3, but it seems that game already exists in Japan.
Here's hoping we get to see Jehuty again.
