Front Mission: Evolved Lands Final Launch Date
These days, you just can't have a release date announcement without pre-order incentives.
Today, Square-Enix has announced that Front Mission: Evolved has received a finalized release date of September 28, 2010 for North America. Developed along with Double Helix, this high-tech mech extravaganza will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. If you like what you've seen thus far and wish to be part of the action this fall, you can nab two exclusive classic Front Mission wanzers if you pre-order your copy at either GameStop, Best Buy or Amazon. Dropping your deposit at any of these retailers will net you Calm, a relatively benign-looking war machine that is "unmatched in melee combat as well as long-range firefights when equipped with the appropriate weapons." Rexon will also be included; it's another mech that has been featured in past titles in the franchise, and this one is a "skilled sniper-type." With gameplay that appears to be fast, fluid and entertaining, Front Mission: Evolved could hit the mark.
The strategy/RPG formula may be no more but that's okay; companies like Nippon Ichi will still keep that aging type alive for a while. We hope.

I LOVE the stories but I haven't beaten any turn based strategy game in years.
