ESRB Says NBA Jam Will Be Dunking On PS3 And 360
When it was announced that EA's new NBA Jam would be exclusive to the Wii, a whole lot of long-time fans who didn't own Nintendo's machine got a wee bit upset.
But perhaps the game is no longer exclusive. You can find the evidence in question at Joystiq; it's the ESRB listing for NBA Jam for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The ESRB needs to rate a game before it can be released in the US and Canada and although that listing has since disappeared, it now seems very possible we'll score high-flyin' dunks on all three consoles. GameSpot also reminds us of when the USK - self-regulating body that monitors the software industry in Germany - "outed" NBA Jam for the PS3 and 360 earlier this month. EA hasn't said anything official concerning this move but the game is currently in development at EA Canada and at some point, we're gonna need an update. Me, I'm a big fan of the old-school Jam games and as far as I'm concerned, just about everyone should have the option of playing this new iteration. And you had best keep it all sorts of crazy arcade-y, EA!
We'll let you know if and when EA decides to come forward with the truth. In the meantime, just keep hoping for some out-of-control b-ball goodness.

A lot of old school gamers have a 360 or PS3 now for more adult themed mature games, and since this game is pushing the nostalgia side of things, it would be a very smart move to bring NBA Jam to all consoles.
Plus, better resolution and online gameplay would make it a sure-fire winner on PS3 and 360 over the Wii.
