PlayStation 3 First To Feature Netflix Search Capability
At first, it appeared as if the Xbox 360 might get the jump on Netflix compatibility, but as it turns out, the PlayStation 3 is enjoying some movie-related "firsts."
Today, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has announced the PS3 is the "first computer entertainment system in the gaming market to get the latest version of the Netflix application for instantly watching movies and TV episodes, as well as the only system to add a full title search capability." If you're a subscriber, you can access Netflix through your PS3 by utilizing a free, instant streaming Blu-Ray disc. The press release reminds us that other consoles force subscribers to boot up their laptop or PC, go to the Netflix site, enter a search string, add the desired movie or TV show to their queue, adn then go back to the console and make the selection. SCEA and Netflix will continue to optimize the popular service for the PS3; we can expect "access via a native application in the coming months." Said Phil Rosenberg, SCEA senior vice president:
"We are thrilled to be the first in the marketplace to have Netflix search capability. Search is fundamental to choosing movies and TV shows and we’re proud to be the only gaming system supporting the Netflix Continuous Improvement Architecture, which makes Netflix application improvements instantly available to the installed base of Netflix users on the PS3 system."
If you've got a PS3 at home, there's not much else you need for your home entertainment needs. And if you're not yet a Netflix subscriber, perhaps the ease of using that service on the PS3 will finally convince you...now, about those 3D movies...

For those who haven't seen Inception, you're missing out on something truly incredible in cinema.
It makes Avatar look like a cheap kids film. 3D was the gimmick, but the movie itself wasn't anything new.
AND DON'T DOWNLOAD IT!!!!
See it in a cinema!!! This movie was made for a cinema experience!!! Small comedies, go nuts, DL all you want, but this movie!?!?!?

Andy Whitfield (Spartacus) was Diagnosed with early stage non-hodgkin lymphoma. That caused a delay to the second season. But they have started filming for season 2 as of now, and he's is all good, and cancer free.
Also apparently because of the delay starz went and made a prequal to season one. It has 6 episodes revolving around Batiutis, before taking over the gladiator training school.

i only wish i had 60GBs to play around with!
though, dont hold your breath on unlimited download usages, the new broadband plan which is replacing the old copper cables with fiber optics, something other countries had YEARS! ago wont be complete for another 8 years!
so in other words it will probably be a decade till we start seeing unlimited download usages as standard.

great for those who use it, but who uses it?
i dunno about you guys, but i did not spend 1K on a ps3 60GB and 500 on a slim so i can watch movies.
i could of saved myself 1300 bucks and just bought a netbook for that!
i bought my ps3 for the games, so sony stop wasting your time, money and resources with this crap and bring us the games!
money put towards this could of been put towards 8 days or the getaway 3.
or it could of been put towards keeping 60% of the fired employees from sony UK and other studios!
sony effectively cut 40% of their developers because of losses, because there too busy turning the ps3 into a media hub which it should not be!
if i want to surf the web i have a laptop.
if i want to use facebook i have a laptop.
if i want to use twitter i have a laptop.
if i want to stream music i have a laptop.
if i want to stream pics i have a laptop.
if i want to watch movies i have a laptop.
if i want to play games i have a ps3, WHAT IT WAS BUILT FOR!!!!!!!!!!
you dont see Ferrari turning their cars into boats do you?
or rolls Royce turning their cars into rocket ships!
