Killzone 3 Beta Already Spotted?
Killzone 3As usual, nothing is official until we see a press release from Sony in our inbox. In the meantime, it's always fun to ponder and discuss.
The possibility of a Killzone 3 closed or open beta test is very real, and with the game scheduled to launch in February, one might assume such a test could kick off in a few months. ...or maybe now. A screenshot from GamesOnSmash shows a PSN friend apparently playing Killzone 3. Now, you can dissect the image if you wish; you may determine it's bogus and if that's the case, we won't be surprised. But it does prompt some interesting questions: firstly, the very idea of a beta and when we might see it and secondly, whether or not this could be an early example of PlayStation Plus perkiness. In other words, what if only Plus members had access - or perhaps just early access - to a beta sample of Guerrilla's impending FPS? We don't have any numbers for Plus subscriptions just yet, but if something like the Killzone 3 beta was initially restricted to Plus members...well, that might just cause a spike in sign-ups. You just gotta love awesome incentives; they're all sorts of enticing, aren't they?
At any rate, we'll always be on the lookout for any news concerning the third Killzone and at some point, we imagine we'll bring you an official update concerning a beta.

As for a beta, well I'm def. down but I do feel a little bit disappointed with plus content so far. It is good to have and there are a-lot of good discounts and free content but I haven't seen any big perks besides simple price cuts. Early entrance into a KZ3 beta would def. be a start :)

Just for the record though Killzone 3 in HD need quite abit of work but i'm assuming we were playing the stuff that was at E3, however Killzone 3 does really excel in 3D. i had to pick my jaw up off the ground. lol

And if they're still planning on a February 2011 release, it doesn't seem far-fetched that we will be seeing a beta within the next couple months. Still a bit early, but hey, the more time they have to tweak, the better.

Honestly if all the demo's and beta's are just early exclusivity I'd just wait until it was free.

i say the latter more likley.
its going to be a cold day in hell before i pay a cent to get access to a beta!
i cant see sony having a KZ3 beta plus only, maybe early release or maybe have the first beta plus only than next year have it available for others.
sony are greedy, but there not that greedy they would cop a sh*t storm if they kept the KZ3 beta plus exclusive!
will be interesting to see what they bring to the table this time, i really enjoyed the KZ2 MP and i never ever enjoy MP!
one of the very few things GG actually did well!
i even killed a few of GGs developers in the tournament they had, now that was fun!
shame sony dont do more of these things, id love to play MAG with some of zippers finest, or plunder with ND!
or go co-op with insomniac!
