Madden NFL 11 PS3 Bundle Outed But Not Confirmed
You can't hide. You can try to hide in a "dead category" in a database somewhere, but someone is gonna find you.
The rumors of a Madden NFL 11 PlayStation 3 bundle package are apparently true. They started when a Best Buy employee leaked the SKU number of the bundle to Kotaku, and then became pseudo-confirmed when the site located an actual pic of the package. Evidently, retailer Best Buy tried to hide this bad boy in a dead category of the company's database, which is often done "to mask a product from searches before it's been officially announced." The bundle will include a copy of the game in question and a 250GB PS3 model, but it may only be available in Canada (although that doesn't make much sense). For the record, we also know about a PSP bundle for EA's newest football entry, but that one has been officially revealed. It seems we have to wait for either Sony or EA to unveil this PS3 package, but they don't have much time...it's supposedly slated to arrive on the same day as the game: August 10.
It's sort of an odd choice for a bundle, in our estimation. It's hardly exclusive to Sony's machine and we find it hard to believe so many have been waiting to buy the system for Madden NFL 11. But what do we know?

I'm not from USA, but even I know about Madden being the biggest sports game in the world. To bundle it would be a great strategy for casual gamers or sports enthusiasts who are yet to upgrade to a current generation console.
I hope the copy of Madden is free though, not an extra 30 or 40 bucks on top of the console for the separate SKU. A free copy of Madden 11 with your PS3 would be icing on the cake for casual gamers or even people upgrading from the 360 to PS3.
Go Sony!!!

Unless, of course, Sony will be introducing the 250GB PS3 as the default model at $299, killing the 120GB model, and making the 320GB model the $349 model.
I think this is what Sony might be doing with this Madden bundle. This new pricing and model scheme still means the copy of Madden isn't free but $10 cheaper.
250GB model $299
250GB model with Madden 11 $349
$320GB model $349
