Collector's Edition For Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Detailed
Come the holidays, one always has be selective, especially in regards to those attractive - albeit relatively pricey - special editions.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is bound to be one of 2010's biggest titles and if you're one of many who plan to sign up for Ezio's second and final adventure, you might be willing to go the extra mile. Today, Ubisoft has announced the Collector's Edition for the upcoming blockbuster, which will differ slightly depending on where you intend to purchase it. If you get it at GameStop, you'll net the Harlequin Jack-in-the-Box Collectible; if you get it anywhere else, it'll be The Doctor Jack-in-the-Box Collectible. Beyond that, you will receive quite the bevy of goodies, regardless of the retailer:
- Two Exclusive In-Game Single Player Maps
- Hard Copy Strategy Map of Rome
- Exclusive Art Book
You will also get a special Bonus Disc, which will feature an Exclusive Making-of video, a Digital Sneak Peak at the Assassin's Creed comic, new trailers, and the game's official soundtrack. You should also note that at the game's site, they say "that contents of Collector's Edition may be subject to change." You can have it all for $99.99 when Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood hits store shelves in North America for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 16.
Also, don't forget that pre-ordering will get you into the multiplayer beta test for the game, which is exclusive to the PS3.

Everything about this game just feels like it's an expansion pack to the 2nd one, all the stuff that was left over from that game being thrown together for this one. Not that the 2nd one felt in anyway short or lacking because that would be furthest from the truth.
With the inclusion of the multiplayer though, I feel they're stretching the little bit of material they have for the single player and trying to make it up with the MP. So imo those maps should be included for all versions of the game at no extra cost.

My money's headed for the signature edition of GT5, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around going into the store in about three weeks and ordering that and waiting for the looks from the register guy. $300, honestly.
Peace.

I'm sorry but a lot of these collectors editions look cool in the picture, but when you get it, it's cheap junk.
So for $100 looks like you can get an expansion pack, a tiny picture book, and plastic toy. Sounds like a really expensive happy meal.

I get that some people consider themselves 'Games Collectors' but really would you not prefer to have a full game?
Ask yourself what you're gonna do with that Jack in the Box after you get it? You'll look at it for a few mins, then it'll go on a shelf somewhere and gather dust until the day you do a clean out of old crap and dump it in the bin. In the mean time, you've probably bought more downloadable stuff that wasn't included in the extra price you paid for this extra junk.
Some people can be just plain dumb with their money, unless they're just minted, in which case I'll just never relate nor understand this fascination with these box sets.

But I think the 2 exclusive SP maps are a complete ripoff & should have been included in the regular game itself. Sounds just like what they did with those locked chapters in AC2.
It just makes me think that they stole it out of the game in order just to rake in more cashola, especially since it seems so obvious that it was being done at the same time as the game too.
