Black Ops Prestige Edition Features An Insane Bonus
Well, we knew they were coming but we didn't know what was in 'em. And isn't that the most important part?
Today, Activision has announced the details of the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Hardened and Prestige Editions. Both are now available for pre-order if you feel like shelling out the extra cash: that fancy Prestige Edition will actually boast "an entirely original remote controlled surveillance vehicle inspired by the RC-XD from Black Ops Multiplayer." You caught a glimpse of it in the recent multiplayer trailer, remember? When you bring it home, you'll find it has a range of 200 feet and even includes a "fully-functioning remote camera that transmits both TFT color video and audio to its operator." ...okay, say what you want, but this is freakin' cool. And of course, the Prestige package will also include what's available in the Hardened Edition: a custom Black Ops limited edition medal, exclusive Black Ops avatar outfit, and four playable cooperative maps. Both special bundles will be available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 when the game launches on November 9; just remember, if you want that surveillance car, you'll need to go for the $149.99 Prestige Edition.
Last year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's Prestige Edition included a set of fully functional night-vision goggles for the same price. We like the car more.

The "avatar outfit" i dunno...
The 4 playable Co-op maps from what i think are 4 maps that you get before anyone else... Why would they give only the hardened/prestige guys something that only that small demographic could use? Like Cod Classic, it will reach the other consumers eventually.
As for preordering, i deffinetly would... at my midnight launch of MW2, i had preordered mw2, and when I went to pick it up, i wanted to upgrade to prestige, but they were sold out, and apparently only ordered enough to cover the preorders... If you wait 24 hours, and someone doesn't pick it up, then you can prolly pick their copy up, but the odds are slim to zer0... So i'd preorder the prestige, but put the minimum 5 dollars on it. Until November 8th you can always change the preorder to basic/hardened......

You either have to pre-order, or you'll be sh!t out of luck trying to find any not already pre-ordered.
Just be cause these will be snatched up in no time by the collectors, re-sellers, the rabid COD fans, and all the other FPS twitch crowds.
Unless you're willing to pay a giant mark-up on ebay later on.

It looks great in the picture they release because it's a prototype made of high quality materials, then you get it and its cheap plastic crap that will fall apart if you so much as touch it.
I highly doubt this car will be anywhere near as impressive as they will try to make it sound.

230 bucks here, and it comes with a RC car!
that thing alone would of cost probably 50 bucks to make.
cheapest RC car that size ive ever seen is around 80 bucks.
see sony?
THIS! is how you do a limited edition.
not that crap they call the signature edition for GT5.
your suppose to give us some really cool stuff and charge pittens for it, not give us some crap stuff and charge us ridiculous prices for it!
whats worth its money more?
GT5 signature edition at THREE HUNDRED! bucks?
or this at a mere 230?
since when did sony turn into M$?

GT5's Signature Edition has:(taken from PSblog)
* Metal sculpted box finished in SLS AMG Obsidian Black
* Exclusive GT branded SLS AMG 1:43 model car (really cool for those into cars)
* GT leather wallet containing Signature Edition competition entry card (for showing off)
* Branded USB key with Polyphony/Mercedes-Benz trailer
* GT branded metal key fob (to show off your drivingness epicness)
* Signature Edition coffee table book featuring the beautiful cars and locations of Gran Turismo 5
* 200 page Apex drivers magazine with hints on driving technique, car tuning, future technologies and more
And that's without including 11 extra in-game cars, an exclusive dynamic theme for your XMB, but the best bit, is a spot in a one-of-a-kind competition to WIN an ACTUAL Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar. I'll be damned if they don't feature this Signature Edition on Top Gear too. And you know what? Australia is included.
Black Ops's Prestige edition looks like CRAP compared to GT5's Signature Edition.

which one is worth the cash?
the signature edition is worth a extra 70 bucks?
everything in the signiature edition (besides the car obviously) is dirt cheap to make.
at least the prestige edition has something expensive, as i said RC cars are not cheap!
especially ones with freaking cameras on them!

im paying 80 bucks more for the CE because GT5 is a better game?
yea, right!
ok, so than why are black ops and GT5 standard editions the same price.
face it, the signature edition has NOTHING in it worth that price!
50 bucks says if i went to the markets after launch id be able to pick everything up in that list for 200, if not less!
