DanceDanceRevolution PS3: The Most Complete DDR Ever
Hey, you know what PlayStation 3 owners have been missing so far this generation? Dancing.
Today, Konami has announced that DanceDanceRevolution, the interactive toe-tapping phenomenon that swept the world, will finally be hitting the PS3 this fall. With the familiar dance mechanics you all know and love, plus all-new features "that maximize the technological capabilities of the PS3 to its fullest," this new DDR should be quite the sensation. It'll come as little surprise that Konami will be implementing PlayStation Move compatibility along with fresh game modes, higher difficulty level, and better graphics and recording features.
But that's all child's play: for the first time ever, DDR will also require the use of your hands as well as your feet. By combining Move and the dance mat, you'll have your most realistic virtual dance party ever! Oh, and the inclusion of the PlayStation Eye means you'll actually be able to appear on screen; a feature that includes "filtering effects, zooming in and out, and capturing and controlling the particles on screen to decorate their dance and then record what the user has created."
You can upload your recorded video via social media networks, and that video can even end up on YouTube and Facebook through the Video Editor & Uploader of the PS3. Boasting 25 all-new original songs by Konami's stable of musicians, plus 20 licensed tracks from current performing artists, you can dance your heart out. Two new modes will be Dance Off and Club Mode; Dance Off is like a dance battle between players while Club Mode is geared towards the hardcore fan, where the songs keep coming, and you keep dancing. You can go for up to 20 in a row!
The new Challenge Level for the experienced player will be more demanding than ever; it'll add four diagonal arrows to the standard up, down, right and left options. Lastly, there's the user-friendly Workout Mode that will help you dance yourself into shape. It sounds like the most complete DDR to date. You ready?

I've only played DDR at my girlfriend's brother's house when we were up late drinkin' and it was actually a lot of fun. Some people I imagine are too cool for it, but for those who can let themselves go, this should be a blast. My only concern is that between the game, Move and the Eyetoy, it might be a few too many peripherals for a game that may appeal more to casual gamers.

I STILL PLAY DDR ON MY PS2! AND NOW I CAN PLAY A GREATER VERSION ON PS3.
I pumped on the same level as I am for Gran Turismo 5 and F1 2011
