H.A.W.X. 2 Demo Flies High Next Week
Yeah, we're getting a new Ace Combat but before that comes yet another immensely promising flight title.
It's Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 and if you're not yet convinced of a purchase, you can always try the single-player demo that will be available for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live service; the Live demo will be ready on August 16 and the PSN demo will be up the following day. You'll be able to sample a couple missions: the first is Interception Course, which puts you in the cockpit of a Russian jet on a quest to intercept a group of stolen aircraft above the Caucasus Mountains. The second is Seek and Destroy, where you'll be among the U.S. HAWX squadron and tasked with the mission of nailing specific targets during a nighttime attack. Both should give you a good idea of what to expect in the final product, and provided the control and overall gameplay is both accessible and enjoyable, we should have a damn fine product. Hey, this is the point of demos; one of our personal favorite additions to this generation of gaming. Try before you buy!
As a reminder, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 will be ready to deploy on September 7. For more info, check out the game's official site.

i really wanted to try this out, so once now that im almost over my download usage it comes out.
sigh!
im still iffy on this, hawx was such a good game but spoiled by repetitive missions and babysitting!
WHEN ARE DEVELOPERS GOING TO LEARN BABYSITTING CHARACTERS IS NOT FUN, IT IS EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody else having this problem? Is the PSN just dead slow? The store seems to work fine.

Even if you are doing something "offline", PSN downloads are sometimes put on hold if the activity requires an internet connection (like some games and Blu-rays), so that may the cause of your experience last night.
Try signing out of PSN; I think you can still resume the download even when you're not logged-in.
