Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days Out Now, DLC Packs Detailed
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days releases today in stores nationwide and to celebrate the launch, IO Interactive has announced their DLC plans.
Starting August 31, three unique downloadable expansion packs will be available: we'll get the Multiplayer Mask Pack, the Alliance Weapon Pack, and the Doggie Bag Pack. Each enhance the various multiplayer modes by "introducing more tools of the trade and all-new heist locations." You may read in some of the reviews that the single-player campaign in the game is quite short, but thankfully, additions like Arcade Mode and a robustly entertaining online multiplayer give us some variety. Said Niels Jørgensen, IO Interactive general manager:
"Given the history of Kane & Lynch, we expected overwhelming interest, and the initial acclaim solidifies the ever-growing phenomenon and attraction gamers have to the characters and story. And we are proud to be able to extend the experience in the coming weeks with more maps, weapons and toys to heighten the tension and pressure of pulling-off a high profile heist."
The game does lend itself well to multiplayer action, especially in regards to the two-player co-op option (there are two main characters, after all). We'll have our review up in just a bit; the general consensus appears to be around a mid-7 right now, with the exception a 1 from one source that will go unnamed. Hopefully, publishers will stop sending them games to review for the general sake of industry dignity.

But since playing the demo, and now finding out that DLC will be coming out in "ONLY" 2 weeks after K&L2's release, I think they really screwed the pooch on K&L 2.
They should have concentrated their full team on making this game instead of separating them into smaller chunk monkeys just for DLC at the same time, so this game could have been as great as it should have been.
