Vanquish Demo Incoming Next Week

Still on the fence about Vanquish? Not yet convinced by all the footage we've seen thus far?

Well, that means you'll probably just have to play it, huh? The good news is that Sega has announced the demo, which will be available next week on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace on August 31 in North America. Other regions will be able to grab it during the following days that week. You will be able to choose from two different difficulties (Normal or Hard), and the action will take place during "Velocity Attack." After stepping into the ultra-capable boots of super-trooper Sam, you'll try to make your way to a Russian space station; thankfully, you'll have a good assortment of weapons to try. The demo even includes a boss, so you'll probably need those guns. Anyway, Platinum Games has shown everyone a lot of promising gameplay snippets over the past few months, and much of what we've seen has been impressive. You may or may not like the artistic style of the game but beyond that, the gameplay itself appears to be very, very entertaining.

If you missed out on that gameplay, feel free to watch the videos posted here and here. Yep, same game that Insomniac says "plays like Gears of War on crack."

can't wait to try the game out all i need to do is update my system i haven't got around to it am only at firmware 3.30 or something like that.

Im not touching enslaved with a 10feet pole lol.
I'm not really into that tribal looking hero and his dragon ball staff (or monkey prince staff).

Vanquish feels much more refreshing and I was waiting for a new fast paced IP :D

It will be interesting to see Platinum Games first effort with a game whose lead platform is the PS3. I'll certainly give it a try.

This already looks 100X better then the PS3 version of Bayonnaise. I'm sure it will pay off using the PS3 as the lead. Mikami=quality stuff. I don''t know who made Bayonnaise or who okayed that crap port to hit the market.

I have never played okami, and I certainly don't have an opinion is regards to Bayonnaise other than I really didn't like the PS3 demo. Haven't played it on 360. Probably won't too because Devil May Cryish games aren't my thing.

That said, that port Sega made should never have been allowed.

Platinum would make an awesome Bayonetta port, it was all fault of Sega of America , the same people that cut content of Yakuza 3 >=3

Outstanding! I've been pretty interested in this game, but had a few concerns about the pace of the gameplay (does it ever drop below 1,000 mph?). So this will be the perfect opportunity to check it out.

I really have high hope for this games but still i think its kind of gear of war clone but i dont mind it all since i havnt played the second part,I will wait for ratings first to think about buying the game or it may have to be delyed on my game agenda

Definitely gonna check it out. Bayonetta was ok on 360 but I never finished or gave the PS3 version a try since it was a bad port but am definitely interested in Vanquish. Hopefully it lives up to the hype, too many fps this yr to get bogged down with just ok titles when AAA's like KZ3 and R3 and I want tonget Medal of Honor even though ppl in the beta says it just meh. I tried to go back online and play MW2 and it made me remeber why I don't like CoD online ne more and Black Ops seems to be another rinse and repeat.

Nice. They must be very confident in what they have to offer since they are releasing the demo a month plus before release. I'm getting this game regardless. Mikami always does good work.

I haven't been impressed with this game, but mainly due to it's grainy fuzziness & superfast pacing.

But with that said, I'm still open to it and I will demo it to see if it CAN change my mind.

superfast pacing is awesome and makes me want to cry with joy LOL. You know as long as it's not mindless button mashing and you still have to perform every action and use tactics to outdo the enemy. :D

I be trying out the Demo. I have seen the footage and it looks pretty good, but I'm not sure on a purchase even this year.

yay, something to look forward to next week, also old school Crash Bandicoot is awesomeness, some levels are friggin' hard though, just got through the second bridge to nowhere-like level, you need pure skillz to get through that.
Also, I played FF7 for a while, then I came to the first save point and I couldn't save because I forgot to make an internal PS1 memory card, Crash Bandicoot had the password system, so I didn't need it there. Anyways, just got through the beginning and got out of the second train you get out of...

now THAT is how you do a demo!
none of this 1-2 weeks before release and 5 minutes long BS!
there going to have to pull 50 rabbits out of a single hat to get me to buy this one though!
bayonetta had me so excited, than ended up being the years most disappointing game!
and i thought RE5 was a letdown!
