Dead Nation Beta Invites Sent To Select PSN Members

It's odd to start seeing beta invites for a game before we're even certain of the release date.

Even so, according to PlayStation LifeStyle, it appears that select PSN members have received beta invites to Housemarque's highly anticipated new title, Dead Nation. The developer responsible for Super Stardust HD wants to deliver a frenetic, guns-always-blazing zombie hunter game - exclusive to the PS3 - and it ought to be a blast. It's also no surprise that we're getting a beta, as this game seems primed to be a multiplayer fan haven; mowing down scores of roving undead is always more fun with friends, right?

The game looks totally out of control, and it could be one of the more entertaining games available on the PSN. It might wear a little thin due to repetition but then again, killing wave after wave of zombies is one of those video game phenomena that always seem to remain fun... So hey, did you see a beta invite?

I received my beta code this morning, as expected. It seems like I ALWAYS receive beta codes (not that I'm complaining). It must be because I'm a former Gamer Advisory Panel member and that I've been on the PS boards since 2001. I thought it was because I was a PS+ member, but apparently not all PS+ members are receiving the code.

Anyway, I have this downloaded at home and I'm waiting to get off work to try it out. I just hope it's awesome and original and not a complete copy of Burn Zombie Burn and Zombie Apocalypse.

I agree that you guys should get it (am not a plus member myself) but if I was paying for it I'd expect a beta code. However, there might be more people allowed in the beta than plus members. Lots of people are plus members already.

Hmm...i would think Plus Subscribers would be the "Select Members."

Wasn't that apart of the Plus deal. Exclusive and first dibs on Beta invites. So far i have got none. I hope we at least get into some of the betas. KZ3, LBP2 etc.

They said Plus members would have early/exclusive access to some betas, not necessarily all of them.

Kinda looks like a more 3D version of something like Gauntlet. Nice. Lot's of debris flying though....not sure my son get's t watch it until he show's he's about 4 more years worth of mature...LOL!

Sweet, but I didn't get an invite either. Oh well, I'll be checking out reviews. I, too, have a zombie obsessed friend who was upset we didn't get Left 4 dead so I'll tell him about this. Except he's not allowed to have internet so I dunno how he'll get it.

Left4Dead is pretty fun but it gets quite boring. Pretty fast. The shooting mechanics feel dated. This looks like a lot more fun in my opinion.

Hmmm, I've never been in a beta, so I'm not really sure what goes on in one, except for having to sign confidentiality agreements.

But I'm guessing that you look for anything wrong, glitches, etc, and report it, along with any suggestions for game improvement, am I right?

And if you're constantly on the lookout for all of that, then can beta's even be any fun????

correcto, to be honest, beta's probably shouldn't be sued for fun, but a lot of people don't care about making the game better and only want to play the game and then complain about how much it sux (even though it's a beta)

it sucks for me. I still cant gareentee betas after 3 1/2 years of PSN, spending nearly £2000 on psn games and dlc etc just from the playstation network and buying 85% of PSN games day one and being a plus member. I did get to play it for a whole of 5 minutes the beta rooms event but i'm a huge fan of housemarque and have been looking forward to this since it was annouced. i even go back and play super stardust hd every now and again just cause its a great game and i'm in no doubt dead nation will be a great game for PSN. just sucks i cant play it.
