EA To Publish Mercenaries 2
In 2005, Pandemic released Mercenaries on the PS2 via LucasArts publishing it. The game managed to catch on fairly well and amassed a bit of a following. While developing the sequel for the PS3, BioWare and Pandemic would soon merge into one, which lead some to believe that they'd also be publishing the PS3 sequel on their own. But such is not the case, as BioWare/Pandemic have approached EA to publish Mercenaries 2: A World in Flames exclusively (timed-exclusive) for the PS3. Through the EA Partners program, EA will simply publish the game for the developer and get paid a royalty fee from the sales. The game is set for a release sometime during the 2007 holiday season.
