Play Asia Outs Uncharted 2 Game Of The Year Edition

Anything with "Uncharted" in the headline is news to us.

There have been rumors of an incoming Game of the Year Edition for 2009's best, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and now, a reader has pointed us in the direction of Play Asia. Not long after Naughty Dog's Arne Meyer expressed interest in releasing such a version, this retailer is apparently taking pre-orders for a GotY edition. Now, if you haven't yet played the game, you're missing out on what we consider to be one of the very best games of the generation, if not the best. But perhaps last year was a tough one for you. Maybe you only got a PS3 this year and have been playing currently released titles. Maybe you've been living under a rock for the past year or so. Whatever the reason, if you haven't played Uncharted 2 and this Game of the Year Edition does indeed arrive, you really need to pick it up.  You just do.

Of course, you might just be a super huge fan of the game and therefore, you plan to pick up the GotY edition even though you already own the standard release. And we certainly wouldn't blame you.

Kinda sorta depends on whether it includes anything 'extra'. I suspect most existing owners will say "oh cool" and move on.

its probably all the dlcs that came out so far like how littlebigplanet was. i guess if its under 40 bucks i'll get it. trade in my uncharted 2 copy at best buy to get the 20 dollar gift card towards GOTY edition. although you might not be able to use your old save files like how it was for arkham asylum goty edition.

just started playing the frist Uncharted.....*says to self, boy i'm way behind on gaming*.......anyways i am really enjoying it i think i might pick it up if its true

Yeah, I wasn't sure I was going to like the original, but loved it. And the sequel is leaps and bounds better, too. You'll love it. Great story, great acting, great graphics, great gameplay. A must own for ps3 owners.

I still have Uncharted 1 sitting on my shelf. I REALLY want to play both Uncharted games fairly badly. But I'm a completionist and don't typically move onto another game until I've mastered the ones I'm on.

I will get to it, but maybe the timing will work out in my favor and a GOTY edition might end up on my shelf!

I´m currently playing U2. And I´m playing it slow, savoring each moment... It´s games like this that makes me feel glad I´m back playing videogames after almost a decade of hiatus.

Last hardcore gaming I did was with the PS1, save a few PC games, skipped the PS2. And, yes, it was painful!

I've been playing Uncharted 2 since launch. Indeed one of the PS3's best, and deserving of a GOTY title since it basically was across the board.

If you haven't played it yet, don't be a fool and miss out on what will no doubt be a great package. Usually all the DLC is included with these editions.

I'm wondering what kind of extra goodies it'll have inside it aside from the multiplayer DLC. Msybe the Eye of Indra? Maybe some more developer interviews and such as. Dare I say it, an exclusive demo for Uncharted 3? It'd want to have something extra to warrant me buying another copy, no matter how awesome the game was, and OH DAMN was it awesome.

Playing UC2 at the moment, again. It's just so freaking fantastic in every way. The game truly is a system seller in my opinion. Don't really know if it sold any consoles but it's prime entertainment through and through. I'll be playing this game for a long time.

i want early unlocks of showoff boosters because leveling up sucks in uncharted 2. when i mean sucks, i'm talking about the insane amount of money needed to level up when each match can get you 15k the most.

Haven't picked up UY2 yet, so a GOTY copy would be a great addition to my collection if all the DLC is included.

I just hope all the DLC isn't just MP mode stuff though, cause I want even more enjoyment while playing my SP campaign.

most all of the dlc is for the competitive part of multi. some is for the co-op. there isnt really anything for the sp but it also does not need it. honestly even if you dont like going online you are missing a HUGE part of the game if you skip the co-op. that co-op plays just like the single player. only you have friends and objectives. if you play only one game online ever please make it uncharted 2

I've got my original copy, so when more news of this GoTY edition comes out then maybe I'll trade in my original edition. Hell I might just keep it and get the GoTY edition as well, i like ND THAT much.

Is there a PSXE clan for U2 multi-player? Or are any of you guys in a clan? I don't have anything new to play for a while yet and I've been playing mp like crazy over the past few days.

When I got my PS3 last Christmas Uncharted 1 and 2 were the first games I completed. Playing one right after the other was a MEGA experience. Uncharted is recommended to every PS3 owner and future owner, period.

funny that 2009s GOTY is the only game yet to get a GOTY edition.
gearbox just announced borderlands is getting a GOTY edition, now who the hell gave that crappy, buggy, ugly, frustrating POS GOTY?

I have to wait and see what's in it. I love UC2 to death but I don't want to get hustled out of some $'s buying basically the same thing over again. By the way, the UC2 multiplayer team deathmatch is just insane. I'm addicted to it. I was playing at 4:00 this morning now I'm sleepy as hell at work LOL. Gotta get some coffee.

On a side note, I hope they fix the players eyes in Uncharted 3. There eyes were wierd looking.
