Ubisoft Reveals Outland, A "World Of Balance And Chaos"
No, it doesn't have anything to do with the 1981 sci-fi cult classic featuring Sean Connery. ...at least, we think it doesn't.
Ubisoft has announced another downloadable game intended for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade - they already revealed Bloody Good Time this week - and this one is in development at Housemarque, the team responsible for Super Stardust HD. It's called Outland, a platformer "inspired by epic adventures such as the Prince of Persia series." Slated to drop early next year, this intriguing concept places players in the midst of a "world of balance and chaos where their efforts allow them to bridge the ancient divide, or doom the world to destruction." You will move through both light and darkness and this will require adaptation; the light vs. dark core gameplay is apparently reminiscent of Ikaruga. You'll run, jump, climb, dodge, and essentially survive in a world about to collapse. Boasting high-definition graphics and a great soundtrack by Ari Pulkkinen (he worked on Trine), Outland is on display at the PAX event.
We love to see so many downloadable games taking the next step in this generation; remember, it all started with much simpler stuff, like Flow. Really, the digital realm has come a long way in only a few years.

Also, did you consider that mayhap Scarecrow doesn't see fit to reply to your comment, or perhaps he is unable to at the current point in time. As a result, BloodVoidKaka chose to address you in his stead. It is still his thoughts, just representing that of another person.
Peace.

I just joined PS+ and must say, $50 for 15 month membership is pretty sweet! In all honesty, though, the + content is still lacking. I was hoping PS would've prepared more availability for launch date. Oh well, over one year of benefits left! :D
