LBP2 Beta Invites Going Out This Week

LittleBigPlanet 2 is going to be one of this holiday season's hottest titles, and if you want in early, check your inbox this week.

Media Molecule needs some help testing the game, so they'll be running a beta test very soon. They'll be sending out invitations this week and those who get priority will be the ones who loved the first title. That's right, according to the update, you have a better chance of seeing an LBP2 beta invite if you've "been really active in LittleBigPlanet." Just bear in mind they've already picked the lucky gamers; they only need to send out the invites, so jumping into LBP now and playing like mad won't do you any good. If you are selected, you have to be 18 years of age or older, have your PS3 hooked up to a broadband Internet connection, and be able to speak English. Also, they say "current Beta Test Community and existing LittleBigPlanet beta testers will automatically be included in this beta trail." Lucky devils. Of course, we'll probably drop in at some point to check things out; Media Molecule continues to take steps in creativity and innovation that boggle the mind.

Millions of user-created levels emerged from the first game - and more are being made every day - so one can only imagine what gamers will make with the sequel.

LBP2 ganna be kool cant wait 2 see some of dat beta on utube btw isn't there ganna be some game thats likk LBP2? its called create? rite n e news when dat realese cause i kno it dont wanna battle LBP2

I'm still loving the first title, so the second one will be a masterpiece, I'm sure. :)

On a different note, I just purchased all the Marvel stuff for LBP (4 costume packs, 1 level kit), as well as the Monster costumes, Shadow of the Colossus costumes and the God of War level kit.

I've purchased damn near every add on for the first LBP. Every single level pack and a majority of all the costume packs. I can't help it. Every pack just adds endless ways of using bits of different costumes together.

I have LBP2 collectors edition on pre-order. I can't wait. I hope I land in the beta although I haven't been really active lately. Just a few plays here and there. I got a beta invite for the original 3 days before the beta was over. Man I love LBP, it was even my first Platinum trophy.

I hope they get a lot of people with low internet ping, so they can figure out a way to get rid of the lag for all players.Specially when your the one with good modem and you get a crappy person lagging up the room(I.E. see Mag)

That was a huge problem in the original LBP. Online mp was very difficult or impossible at first with somebody that had a horrible connection.

Ya, it annoyed me even more when I'm playing with a PSN friend and he/she invites one of there friends and it lags so bad I get booted from my own room

alright, if i dont get an invite to this and killzone 3 then i'll definitely pass on renewing my plus subscription. This is a sony product and if i remember right, they clearly stated that plus users get priority beta access.

I hope this game actually allows you to choose whether you want to "Host or Join" a random level...I hated joining other people with bad connections in the first one.
Other than that problem, I believe that this game will be awesome...I'm only getting the Collectors edition because of the two "Jak and Daxter" Costumes.

It was a surprise to me that they would bring up J&D, I mean...that series has been silent for a while (I didn't count The Lost Frontier as a real J&D game because Naughty Dog didn't make it)

actually, come to think of it shouldent this be a part of PSN+?
i mean how many months in and were still yet to see some of those promised features!
I can always rely on sony to promise something, than once i pay for it they take it away!
