Sony Releases "The Ultimate FAQ" For PlayStation Move
There are many questions floating around about PlayStation Move. So many, in fact, it would probably help to have a hand-dandy guide.
So if you're planning on becoming a Move gamer, you should check out The Ultimate FAQ over at the PlayStation Blog. It really tells you everything you could ever need to know, from the most basic - yes, Move can only be used with the PlayStation 3 but yes, it'll work with any PS3 model - to the most detailed. They've also got a super important rundown of the pricing: the Move motion controller will go for $49.99, the PlayStation Eye retails for $39.99, the Navigation controller has a $29.99 price tag, and there's even a charging station for the whole thing, which will go for $$29.99. Oh, and don't forget about that nifty shooter attachment for $19.99. If you lack the Eye, you should probably consider the PlayStation Move bundle; it'll cost $99.99, and you'll get the Move controller, the Eye, and Sports Champions. If you don't yet own the PS3, there's a Move bundle package, featuring the big 320GB PS3 system.
We like the answer to the question, "What kind of gamer is PlayStation Move geared towards?"
"Whether you’re experienced, casual, or somewhere in between, PlayStation Move has a wide variety of games including sports, action, party, family, and shooters. Social party games like Start The Party! and Sports Champions are perfect for families, while core titles like Killzone 3, SOCOM 4 and Heavy Rain will keep things challenging for more advanced gamers. In order to tell what games are appropriate for younger gamers, look for the ESRB rating and descriptors on the bottom left of every game case for an age rating and content descriptors."
So essentially, it's for everyone. Also, remember that Move titles will start at $39.99, but "specific pricing will depend on the game and the media format." Early games specifically designed for Move, like Sports Champions, Kung Fu Rider and Start the Party!, will retail for $39.99, while Move-compatible games like Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4 will have the standard $59.99 price tag.

Perhaps the Wii has painted a stereotype that suggests that motion-control only works for casuals.

What I don't think is going to happen, is devs taking the risk in making multi-million dollar games based on a "control interface" that is already dwindling in consumer interest.
Nor do I take KZ3 as proof that Move is for hard core gamers. I'm convinced more people were turned off by KZ2 than those who were impressed by it, and KZ3 sales will suffer because of it.
But let's see what happens.

It most certainly at its core is the same basic idea and format as the Wii. I have a wand/device that enables me to move my body/hand and have it register to the in-game character I control. Knowing this I must say the Move is not something I would ever want to own or use. I don't like motion controls, I prefer a dualshock or a mouse/keyboard setup.
So I'm still correct and you're mistaken.

Yes. PS Move represents change. It may not be the pioneering technology but the one thing that the PS Move is attempting to do is bridge the gap between Wii (casual) and hardcore (PS3/360).
Look at SOCOM 4 and MAG. Both hardcore shooters that are introducing "change" with the controller to the Move. These are not your party games here. Well, I sure have alot of fun with them.
The Move may bomb, but I seriously don't think it will. The Wii started the motion control widespread gaming craze and I believe the PS Move is going to take it to the next level.

I suspect that the biggest most critically acclaimed games for the PS Move will be the games that already work well with the DS3: Killzone 3, Heavy Rain, and probably Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3. Basically, you'll have the option to point and shoot with a wand instead of using a thumb-stick. I wouldn't mind trying shooters with a wand; however, I do mind laying down $129.99 in order to do so.

till then, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
i mean honestly who in there right mind is going to spend 100+ bucks on this + 60 for sports champions just so they can play a wii sports knock off?
if that is not a gigantic waste of money than i dont know what is!
in fact burning your cash would be less of a waste, at least it would serve a purpose, keeping you warm!
and i thought the lineup for the ps3 was pathetic!
one thing i have learned about sony this gen, is they are thick as mules!
they release the ps3 with a ridiculously high price and poor software than wonder why it sells poorly, they release the PSP go with a ridiculously high price and poor software and again it sells poorly.
so you would think they would learn their lesson, you would think for there next hardware release they would make it dirt cheap and have a bucket load of fantastic AAA titles for it.
you would think wrong!
its confirmed, sony is run by a bunch of chimpanzees!
Kaz, jack, there all chimpanzees dressed up as humans!

They need to make a configuration that allows the reticle to be fixed as in every other 1st and 3rd person shooter out there.
If they don't, the DS3 will have an advantage and the Move will flop with shooters.

And since the PSEye is so great at motion control already, I don't see why we can't just use a small utility flashlight instead of buying motion controller. (bad attempt at humor):-P
I hope people don't buy into the charge station. That just seems like wasted money to me. I mean, they can be charged via usb, just like the DS3. They will store more stylishly in my GOW3 UE Pandora's Box.
