THQ Places Armageddon, Saints Row 3 In Fiscal 2012

Lower-than-anticipated sales of their latest UFC Undisputed title played a part in the $30.1 million in quarterly losses for THQ, but they're looking forward to the future.

The publisher has revealed the release schedule of "core games" for their 2012 fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2012. The next UFC title is on there (it's still a great series) as well as the newest title in the Red Faction franchise. It's also interesting to note the existence of Saints Row 3 on the list, which is slated to drop in fall of next year and of course, a new WWE game is in the works. No big surprise there. Here's THQ's 2012 fiscal schedule:

  • Red Faction Armageddon / May 2011
  • MX vs. ATV Alive / Spring 2011
  • Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine / Summer 2011
  • Saints Row 3 / Fall 2011
  • WWE / Fall 2011
  • UFC / Winter 2012

We'll be interested to see how Armageddon turns out. The Red Faction games have always been entertaining and although Volition is ditching the sandbox style from Guerrilla, we sorta like the new underground, return-to-its-roots structure.

That's an awful lineup, no wonder they are losing.

Pff, Saints Row2 was far more entertaining than GTA4. Sure it's buggy as hell but play it on PC and you're left with a bug free addictive killing simulation.

I'm looking forward to Red Faction: Armageddon. I'm currently playing Geurilla, and the only thing I don't like about it is the pointless traveling, dying and having to travel some more to the location you were just at.... Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so easy to die in that game... gah...

Anways, I think it will be a great game.

maybe they should release more games?
THQ release some of the best games out there, they are one of the very few publishers who only release fantastic titles!
shame to see RFA get delayed, i was really looking forward to it!
i mean honestly who does not want to fire one magnet, than fire another and cause anything and everything connected to magnet A to go flying to magnet B?
why shoot your enemies, when you can hurl a whole freaking wall at them!?

if thats not cool, than i dont know what is!
