Trophy Support For Remakes, The Last Guardian In 3D?

We know the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection will boast high-definition and 3D. But there's something else...

Why, Trophy support, of course! According to a Dengeki Online interview with creator Fumito Ueda at TGS (as cited at Andriasang), Trophies will be coming to both games when they're re-released for the PlayStation 3 next year. Also, Ueda made it clear that at first, they weren't planning on implementing 3D but suddenly, they "determined compatibility would be a possibility." And if you're wondering, 3D remains a possibility for The Last Guardian, too. Said Ueda:

"We're still looking into this. In its current state, we've pretty much used up the full system specs. However, we'd like people who don't normally play games to play, so if it can reach these people, we'll think about it. With this meaning, it's not the case that there is absolutely no plan for support."

He doesn't rule out PlayStation Move support, either. But about those Trophies...we're already thinking about a few possibilities. Let's see, there might be timed Trophies - i.e., "Take Down Colossi #5 in under 5 minutes" - and maybe conditional ones like, "Take Down Colossi #11 without falling off once." Any other ideas? Maybe for ICO?

HELP, HELP, HELP, HELP!!!
Sorry for going of topic but, my PS3 just keeps giving me the message "The hard disk's file system is corrupt and will be restored" I tried to run the restore a bunch of times but no dice :( does anyone knows if I can still pull my saves out of it somehow? Can any of the Linux live CDs read PS3 partitions?
Many thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide!
I will preorder this two games the moment they let me and now I know I need a 3D TV :)

you may have been unlucky and your hard drive may have failed. it happens. maybe look into a bigger hard drive and put it in there. if there is no problem i would assume the drive is dead. if its dead i dont think there is anyway to do anything with it.

so if it ends up being the drive just be happy your ps3 is still working and only the drive failed. sucks you may lose your saves, but your not losing your ps3 and having to get a whole new one. a new drive is cheaper.

That's bad news dude. I've had that error, but the system would still boot and I was able to manually copy off my game saves before doing a low level format of the drive.

If you can still boot the system, copy off everything that you can - game save wise - I know there will be ones you can't copy, but you might at least get some.

Just like any computer based on an HDD, this is the biggest failing in the PS3 - flaky hard discs. Of course my HDD that's a bit flaky isn't the Sony original, it's a WD HDD. So can't even blame Sony for using cheap HDDs - they don't.

Thanks guys! I will try to use a different HDD and attach that one to the PS3 and see if I can read anything from it... Damn, I was almost done with InFamous :( Well at least I have a excuse to start playing again :)

I like the idea of adding trophies to a remake, but I'm still wondering how the trophies are going to work with GT5. I heard that there was going to be multiple platinum trophies, one for each type of racing like one for Rally, one for Nascar, etc, etc.

the trophies i saw coming. the 3d not so much. i borrowed ICO from my cousin a few months back but couldnt play it due to the ps2 graphics. so i went back to whatever ps3 game i was playing. i played it for a little bit but i just could not do it. i was gonna pick up SotC at gamestop but i would rather wait to get this all at once.

I don't know what trophies they should implement, but I thought trophies were necessary in all PS3 games nowadays, so this comes as little surprise. And did I just read another developer spruiking about how they're pushing the PS3 to its limits? Eh, at least I can believe Ueda in this. GOTY contender 2011, and generation defining game.
Peace.

I'd much rather play SotC with move support over having it in 3D...

Oh please no timed trophies. Part of the beauty of SotC is it's leisure assaults.

Don't all games on PS3 as of January 2009 have to have trophy support?

All PS3 games released since then have to, it is mandatory. PS1 games, PS Minis and PS2 games don't. But these remakes probably do since they are really ports to the PS3 and are therefore in essence PS3 games.
