Trophy Support For Remakes, The Last Guardian In 3D?
We know the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection will boast high-definition and 3D. But there's something else...
Why, Trophy support, of course! According to a Dengeki Online interview with creator Fumito Ueda at TGS (as cited at Andriasang), Trophies will be coming to both games when they're re-released for the PlayStation 3 next year. Also, Ueda made it clear that at first, they weren't planning on implementing 3D but suddenly, they "determined compatibility would be a possibility." And if you're wondering, 3D remains a possibility for The Last Guardian, too. Said Ueda:
"We're still looking into this. In its current state, we've pretty much used up the full system specs. However, we'd like people who don't normally play games to play, so if it can reach these people, we'll think about it. With this meaning, it's not the case that there is absolutely no plan for support."
He doesn't rule out PlayStation Move support, either. But about those Trophies...we're already thinking about a few possibilities. Let's see, there might be timed Trophies - i.e., "Take Down Colossi #5 in under 5 minutes" - and maybe conditional ones like, "Take Down Colossi #11 without falling off once." Any other ideas? Maybe for ICO?

Sorry for going of topic but, my PS3 just keeps giving me the message "The hard disk's file system is corrupt and will be restored" I tried to run the restore a bunch of times but no dice :( does anyone knows if I can still pull my saves out of it somehow? Can any of the Linux live CDs read PS3 partitions?
Many thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide!
I will preorder this two games the moment they let me and now I know I need a 3D TV :)

so if it ends up being the drive just be happy your ps3 is still working and only the drive failed. sucks you may lose your saves, but your not losing your ps3 and having to get a whole new one. a new drive is cheaper.

If you can still boot the system, copy off everything that you can - game save wise - I know there will be ones you can't copy, but you might at least get some.
Just like any computer based on an HDD, this is the biggest failing in the PS3 - flaky hard discs. Of course my HDD that's a bit flaky isn't the Sony original, it's a WD HDD. So can't even blame Sony for using cheap HDDs - they don't.
