EA Prepping Mystery "AAA Multiplayer Action Game?"
Well, it's one of those guessing situations, but at least it's good for some discussion.
As noted by System Link citing LinkedIn, EA is on the lookout for a Lead Network Engineer. The chosen candidate will go to work on an unannounced "AAA multiplayer action game," which may or may not be something we'd recognize. So far, EA has confirmed Crysis 2, Dragon Age II, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, and Dead Space 2 for 2011, but the aforementioned description doesn't seem to fit any of those. Based on what we know, this sounds like a brand new project. By the way, the LinkedIn details say the right person needs "experience with split-screen multiplayer programming," which hints at co-op offline/online, and for experience, they want someone who has "at least two titles shipped on PC or console" on their resume. "A deep passion for multiplayer games" is another must. Should we be perking our ears for a new EA game with a big-time emphasis on multiplayer?
And if so, what might it be? Oh, I know...the return of a true-blue Road Rash, with speedy split-screen awesomeness.

B - I can't believe I'm going to do this, but I have to agree. SW:TFU II isn't being published by EA to my knowledge. EA is on board with SW: The Old Republic, but only because BioWare is a subsidiary of EA. That's all I know.
