PS3 Greatest Hits Additions: MAG, Tekken 6, More
Retail evidence already told us about a few of these, but it's nice to have the full update list from Sony.
Today, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has announced 7 new titles for their ever-expanding Greatest Hits lineup. To qualify as a Greatest Hit, the game must hit a certain sales plateau that few titles hit, and because gamers continue to reward quality in this industry...well, Greatest Hits experiences are some of the best. Here are the new additions to the PS3's exalted library; you can nab any of them for $29.99:
- MAG™ (Sony Computer Entertainment)
- Ratchet & Clank® Future: A Crack in Time (Sony Computer Entertainment)
- MotorStorm®: Pacific Rift (Sony Computer Entertainment)
- Demon’s Souls (Atlus)
- Call of Duty: World at War (Activision)
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Activision)
- TEKKEN 6 (NAMCO BANDAI Games)
There are now over 40 titles in the Greatest Hits PS3 library and as the press release states, that library features "a broad range of genres, including first-person shooter, platformer, fighting, and action/adventure." And of course, when games do well, you can almost always anticipate another installment in the series: going by the above additions, Insomniac is working on Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, MotorStorm: Apocalypse is on its way, Call of Duty: Black Ops drops in November, and if they don't do another Tekken, we'll be awfully surprised.
Only Demon's Souls seems to be left out in the cold, as Atlus isn't working on a sequel, but another all-new IP called Catherine.

Tekken characters boast a massive set of moves... It's one thing to compress many moves down into a smaller set(SFvsT), but another to have to create a wealth of moves for characters that have never had so many moves to begin with.
Honestly, I won't be surprised if the Tekken version gets cancelled =It just seems impossible to me.

I also enjoyed the MAG Beta, but does anyone know if its still populated well, i mean, you dont want a empty 256 player map, and is why i still havn't bought the game.

I'd like to get Pacific Rift again. Demon's Souls is still calling out to me.
I thought From Software was doing a Demon's Souls spiritual successor, Project Dark.
