No Medal Of Honor Demo, Army "Surprised" At Multiplayer
If you're still on the fence concerning a Medal of Honor purchase, you'd probably look for a demo before the game arrives.
But unfortunately, that won't happen. According to an update on the official Medal of Honor forums, DICE associate producer Barrie Tingle (known as Bazajaytee), no demo will be released before the highly anticipated shooter hits store shelves next week. The update was short and to the point- "Just got confirmation, there will be no Demo before launch of MoH." However, we have heard that a multiplayer demo should be available at some point and remember, that update came from a UK site, so...who knows what might happen? By the way, the Taliban controversy continues, as we learn the U.S. Army was surprised at the multiplaye issue. Why? It seems military consultants never even saw the multiplayer mode until August, although if any of them had been gamers, wouldn't they have made the assumption...? Two sides in a typical multiplayer battle; one side has to be the Americans and the other side has to be the Taliban. Yes? But anyway, the controversy continues, even after EA opted to remove the Taliban reference from the multiplayer action.
The final question will be whether or not the game is worthy of the demanding shooter fan, and whether or not it can compete with Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops this holiday season. Guess we'll have to wait and see...should be interesting.

But I wonder... Did they think people would be fighting giant furby dolls with guns or something?
And what, they would have prefered it to be an american vs american kinda thing? Like omg there is no way the talibans can win a match but lets have us americans kill other americans so that way americans will always win. *Brain IQ -40* And if this is how they think I don't give our country a lot of time to live XD lol
And to think they would give this much attention to a video game they must really be bored outta their minds -_-

And not one of those interviewed were against it, most were glad that MOH would've been so realistic, and that gamers everywhere could get more of a truer feel for what conflicts are really like.
Plus they said it right, "It's only a game"
Plus, factor in the fact that some Spec Op's people were actual advisers in helping to the game's developers craft this new MOH reboot.
And I also believe the Army bigwigs already knew about the multi-player part of MOH.
Oh come on now, seeing how the Army, themselves, had already contracted out to Ubisoft, "The Official U.S. Army" Video Game, called "America's Army: Rise Of A Soldier" & had even started on a 2nd America's Army game before deciding to cancel it.
So how could they not expect that a modern military game just might include modern realistic enemies.
Anyway, my stand on the whole thing now, is that I call BS & that EA has sold out.

The article goes on to say that they did not ask EA to remove the content (nor could they force them to do it) but there was discussions about pulling official US military support. My perspective is that could have had possible implications for military cooperation on future EA titles.

Edit: I'm not completely sure but I think it's an extra for the PS3 Limited Edition, which appears to be the only version of the game for any console.

What IS nice to see is that the quality of demos vis-a-vis them being a good feel for the full product, has really increased since this gen began.

I can guarantee there are much worse books or movies out there.
Thinking like you are or like they are would imply the simple fact of virtually killing anything that has a human shape in a videogame is wrong. Because why would it be ok to kill just anyone else if it is not ok to kill americans in a game huh? Doesnt that make them feel like a selfish little lot :P
So it is either allow people to kill virtual pixels shaped like humans or don't. No crap about: * But this pixel shaped human has the american label on it so it is not right to kill him boo hoo *
We have been killing human shaped pixels in so many innovative ways since the dawn of computers (time) that it makes no sense to call it wrong now just because those pixels got a resolution boost :P
This is what I think anyway :D But I sincerely think there is some truth in what I said

I think they should do that because once americans start whining about something they won't stop until everything has changed and they felt they made a difference for the best (in their minds) * This does not apply to the majority it's just that the only people we hear are the ones who complain lol *
Its crazy how sometimes I wish some gaming super hero would come and tell all the annoying people to just shut up and skip the game if they dont like it. And that applies to any earthling lol Just like those other doods who delayed the first little big planet because they thought they heard words from their holy book in a song of the game... XD
Anyway here I am complaining about people who complain lol god that will never end :D
Peace to all and death to the infidels of the god of games! I guess is what I meant to say :D

The US Army didn't realize because nothing was done out of malice. It's just the way games are. Simply changing the name corrects it. Now, everyone should be happy and we can get on with playing an awesome game...hopefully.
I'd eat a triple fudge King Cone every day of the week if my budget and weight agreed. Once again _____, you never cease to amaze me how strange you are.
