Playbrains Announces Network Exclusive Sideway
We tend to like originality. ...and it might not get any more unique than Sideway by Playbrains.
Both those names are pretty original, aren't they? Playbrains studio director Scott Simpson has announced a new PlayStation 3 exclusive, which he describes as a "unique adventure platformer set in and around the oh-so-gritty streets of New York City." The creation of that kooky world has come into being with the help of Fuel Industries and W!ldbrain, and the early concept art alone is enough turn heads. They'll show off more at the New York Comic Con on October 8, where Sideway will be officially announced as a PSN exclusive. It's slated to arrive some time next year and although they're not yet ready to talk about specific features or gameplay elements, we at least get a glimpse of the atmosphere. To keep up to speed on the project, feel free to follow the designers on Twitter. For our part, we're always interested in fresh new downloadable games; we've already seen more than a few, and we love 'em.
You just gotta appreciate the ambition. Creativity knows no bounds; now, all they need to do is input an entertaining and reliable gameplay/control scheme... It's sort of important.

I think the gaming industry is still in good hands.
If I had my own dev team and could fund a game, I'd make a platformer. No doubt that would be my first attempt at a game.
I would make Mario, Ghosts N Ghouls, Crash, Spyro, Sonic, and all those great platform franchises proud.
It would involve a great deal of story, multiple characters (yes, not just one). And a lot of awesome monsters (very hard to get past them like in Ghosts N Ghouls).

plus you have to be on ADSL2+, i along with 90% of AU cant get ADSL2 because theres not enough copper in the lines.
the signal would be far too weak by the time it got to the modem, i suggested using a repeater but optus still wont let me get it, no one will.
