Flower Recreated Using Dev Tools In LittleBigPlanet 2

What can LittleBigPlanet 2 do? No, no...what can't LBP2 do?

We here at PSXE have the highest respect for thatgamecompany and productions like last year's downloadable masterpiece, Flower. But the guys at Media Molecule are pretty talented, too, and they intend to give you more design tools than ever before in LBP2...so many, in fact, that you can kinda recreate Flower in Media Molecule's upcoming sequel. No, seriously. Don't believe it?

Okay, so it's not exactly the same but the concept is just about right, and it's amazing how close one can come in terms of atmosphere and style; even the music is almost spot on. This is only one example of what you can accomplish with LBP2's hefty dev tool kit, too. Can you imagine what might be possible? What else might be recreated? That's the beta test, after all, and the final product should be even more robust...

I recently bought, Flower, totally sweet. If I had the time I'd buy LBP2 and just make the games that certain companies refuse to make.

That is simply incredible. LBP2 must have an insane development engine behind it and a very very powerful toolset to be able to do this.

wow that is straight up inpressive. i cant wait to see what happens with this game. i mean the first was awesome for user content this will blow EVERYTHING else away. lets see that create game come even close to this. those guys at MM are making some amazing stuff.

MM is an amazing dev company. These guys can do anything they want, great minds.

I gotta dedicate some serious time in LBP2 and try to create some levels based on a game I've been wanting to see for ages.

Thankfully it's a platformer too so it should be easy/easier.

That's pretty dang impressive! I mean that's down right amazing! I'm glad this game got delayed just forth sole purpose that they want to get it right! But I certainly can't wait to plAy it!

LBP is one of my favorite games, and I'm not even good at creating levels! I just love playing through and seeing and the imagination this game can bring to. Life from another gamers perspective! Absolutely one of the most defining franchises in gaming!

I'm not personally into LBP or Flower, but i have respect for both. I think this "Game 2.0" stuff is pretty incredible in terms of the sort of stuff people can create. In my spare time, one of these years, I want to program my own jrpg-style 2D game and a 2D fighter.
Not that I don't like 3D, I just happen to have some artistic skills to draw my own sprites etc.

lets just hope it does what its suppose too, 2D side scrolling platforming just as well!
we have no where near enough platforming games, we have even less 2D side scrolling platforming games, so the last thing i want to see is another title of said genre disappear!

Sounds like LBP2 is going to blow the first one away. Man, I'm definitely going to need a broadband connection, and more practice with the LBP toolset before this drops... LBP2: The first GoTY contender of 2011?

I can picture it now... someone is going to create Heavy Rain: LBP2 edition. That would be all sorts of epic... Maybe Alan Wake: LBP2 edition... Halo, Gears... We can have a cutesy version of EVERY 360 exclusive! Okay, I'm dreaming, but wouldn't that be mad?

Just how far can Media Molecule take LBP?
This is friggin' amazing.
They just nailed GOTY before the year and game even arrived.

I think EA should just scrap the development for Create.

I wouldn't worry about 2D side scrolling platformers disappearing, given that there are 3million odd user created LBP levels you can try out. Lets say you do 100 of those per day - it'll take you roughly 80 years to get through them

3 games with massive replay value, it's 3 PS3 exclusives with 2+? genre.

Goddamit, I'm getting GT5 and I also pre-ordered LBP2, I don't think I'll have enough time for any other games in 2011.

Am sold. I thought Fall Out: New Vegas might be my X-mas choice. Then I started leaning toward Vanquish, but if LBP2 is the ways it looks and sounds. I'm thinking this will go on my list.
