Next EGM To Feature Ratchet And Clank PS3
Along with Jak and Daxter, Insomniac's Ratchet and Clank franchise hit the PS2 with a big splash and then rocketed to new platformer heights over the next few years. The series has garnered more than a few prestigious awards, critical acclaim, and of course, a horde of loyal fans. Therefore, it didn't come as any surprise when we learned they'd be creating a Ratchet and Clank for the PS3. However, what was a surprise is when we found out - via the EGM Live! Podcast - that next month's EGM will feature the game in all its potential glory.
Insomniac has long since completed what is easily the best game on the PS3 to date, Resistance: Fall of Man, and now it appears they're even further along with the next-gen R&C than initially believed. The publication will feature all kinds of stuff, from in-depth commentary to a ton of screenshots, so don't think for a second that this is gonna be some boring teaser. Perhaps we can hope for a tentative release date...? And perhaps we can hope for a 2007 release?
But if you really can't wait that long, and still need your Ratchet fix, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters ships for the PSP next week. Insomniac knows what works, and in general, maintains the initial level of quality, so we can only expect great things from both upcoming titles.
