Cosmo Says: Girls Who Play More, Get It On More

Well, if Cosmo says it, it has to be true. They've never been known to publishing anything false for the sake of attention...

But anywho, at least gamers can interpret it as good news, provided they don't think too much about it. As several sources around the Internet have already noted, the most recent issue of Cosmopolitan features a downright stunning revelation concerning females who play video games. We all know the stigmas and stereotypes, which makes it all the more shocking: according to their "survey," women who play games get it on more than those who don't; four times per week instead of three. They suggest getting a Wii or going to an arcade because the guy will be in "man-date heaven."

Now, we hate to play devil's advocate here, but- No. We won't do that to you. Let's just wonder aloud about things that won't dispel this wonderful idea. ...um, do you still have an arcade in your area? And do actual gamers go there, or just kids under the age of 7 and girls who think it's more like a carnival? And does it have to be the Wii? Now aren't all you girls insulted at the stereotype that only girls would play games that...well, aren't really indicative of where the industry is? And what the hell is "man-date heaven," anyway?

Well, we'll just leave it at that. You guys can enjoy the fantasy as long as you like. Remember, it's in Cosmo.

This is quite true in fact, my GF is loving Katamari, Ratchet and Clank, and Kirby's Epic Yarn and she is quite frisky. The sad part about it is though, there are no decent arcades around where I live. All have closed or sent there machines away, sad indeed but it is the way of business.

A few years back, i read an article of an African mother who would transport 100 lb's of materials on her back up and and down a mountain so that her children could go to sleep less hungry each night. It was the only job available for her. And without exaggeration, we probably spend more on something like coffee in a day than she earns in a month. So even if she didn't have any children, her lot wouldn't be much better.

Yeah... Uh-huh. I'll believe it when I see it. As for the Wii and the arcade... I usually instantly dismiss anyone with a Wii as a sheep, and the arcade that they used to have here disappeared YEARS ago. Tell me she has a PS3 or 360 and my ears might just prick up though.

Of course they're two different gals in the pic, but the way I saw it it was....
the gal up top is the gamer that the story's about, & the other pic is just a generic pic done as related to gal's gaming(just like Ben put's at the top of each thread).
But regardless I'll take either, or both.

Anyway, about the posed pic at the top, I blame the photographer for her pose.
I figured that he was thinking more along the lines of eye candy, rather than having her actually concentrate on the game itself. He should have included a actual pic of her while gaming, so we could see that, plus have our eye candy too.
Or maybe she's just a high maintenance gal who demanded that he get every inch of her too in that one shot.

Either way, at least she could be my 48 hour worth of playtime fun.

My wife only plays old skool games... Old PS1 classics like final fantasy, but mostly SNES mario games and Mario 64 and things like that... She has them all downloaded from VCON in her Nintendo Wii... And she is quite frisky... that's prolly y i got her pregnant again... Damn u Mario lol

My girl likes to play video games and she loves sex. Pretty kinky girl.
She owns a Wii, and she loves the games on there, like Super Mario World, the dancing game, and sports game.
She never owned a playstation or an x box, but she owns every nintendo consoles and has played every Zelda game.
She is a big sports fan, and loves to play sports and sports video games. She is in school for sports management.
And she loves reading cosmo, I heard about this topic from her the other day, and she laughed and sigh and said "make sense."
I just got her hooked on the Sonic games, and it took me about 10 tries to beat her Madden NFL 11 (I had to cheat).
We have been together for a little more than a year and she is kick ass and I love her for that. Her only downfall is that she like the Patriots! :S

Wow, I had to register to comment on this disaster. Putting aside the fact that Cosmo isn't exactly what one would call a reputable news source, I find some of the backlash about girl gamers a little suprising.

I'm a female gamer, and no I do not play wii. Give me my PS3 and GOW, bioshock, borderlands, DMC, Infamous etc... I'd like to also say this whole topic that female gamers are basically unattractive is sad - if that's the majority of what you guys run into you're not asking the right girls :) I have several female friends that are gamers and let's just say that we're doing fine in the looks department.

I am a 25 year old attractive girl and I dont play the Wii. I play real video games and consoles. I grew up with a regular Nintendo and have went through all 3 Playstations. I want a real gaming experience not some pu*** wii tennis crap. I work full time and make ALOT of money so the fact that I would be poor or lazy is kind of shot down, and no im not a whore or a stripper, i work for a major insurance company. If you doubt my dedication to real games I bought a PS3 just so i could play Heavenly Sword and it was rumored that God of War 3 was coming onto PS3. And when it was confirmed for PS3 I bought a 58 inch samsung hdtv just to see the blood more clearly. I play unreal, bioshock, god of war and I love shooters. And no im not a lesbian either, i have been happily married for 5 years. So you guys really need to rethink what you say about women gamers, take Olivia Munn and the girls at G4 for instance. Shame on cosmo for categorizing real women gamers as Wii playing soccer moms.
