PSXE Poll Update: GT5 Shouldn't Be Delayed Long
Although the majority of readers remain optimistic, there are still quite a few who seem to be giving up hope.
According to our latest poll results, most people believe we'll see Gran Turismo 5 arrive within a month of that missed November 2 launch date. Some say it'll only be a matter of weeks while the majority think GT5 will be on store shelves towards the end of November or at the start of December. After its delay, we heard series creator Kazunori Yamauchi say we shouldn't have to wait too long for the game, and it seemed it was pushed back due to security purposes. Sony also said we can still expect it for the "holidays," so we'd like to think late-Nov/early Dec is just about right. However, a good many readers think GT5 won't see the light of day in 2010, which means the whole situation is growing rather sour in the mouths of many... Polyphony and Sony had best deliver the game or they're going to alienate some would-be fans, you know?
This week, we want to know what your most anticipated super-huge project is. Might it be the hugely anticipated Uncharted 3? Or maybe you just have to have GTAV...then again, you might be a colossal FF fan and you're convinced Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the only title that matters. Which one...? Let us know.

While I have no illusions that Versus will THE FF experience we have been waiting for, I still think it has promise provided they don't junk half of it to make the multiplat status like XIII did. Quantic doesn't even have a new game, The Last Guardian will be sweet but will probably be another 2 years since they don't even know how the levels or battles will work yet, and Uncharted 3 isn't even a whisper yet so I gotta go with Versus and pray it has a taste of the neatness of Crisis Core but on a bigger scale.

No doubt i want Uncharted 3 and Final Fantasy Versus XIII, but i can wait a bit longer for another Uncharted and i have little hope Versus XIII will remain to be the same game Nomura intended. There's just too much jackassery and douchebaggery going on over at Square have any any hope left.
So Team ICO's The Last Guardian it is.

I remember 2 years ago thinking, hmm no gt5 this holiday? they must really want it polished, re-polished, and spit-shined for holiday 2010.
Now they're still afraid to see their baby see the light of day.
I have a hard time believing security to be the real reason. From what I've heard the ps3 still wasn't going to be cracked anytime soon even without another update. Is some possibly bogus pretense really worth losing a months sales time (ie half the holiday season)?
PS uncharted 3 for me.
Have yet to pickup heavy rain since I don't really rush out for murder mysteries and if I had a kid that annoying I'd send the kidnappers a fruit basket for taking him off my hands.
The rest have had plenty of time to release some enticing media but have seemingly refused to do so.

"When will you make an end?"
"When I am finished!"
And that's good enough for me, as I've never played a bad 'Gran Turismo' and '5' undoubtedly looks like the best yet.
As for the current poll, I want them all. And it would deal me quite a blow if I had to pick one to NOT play as soon as they were available.
But this is what order I would choose them in:
01. Quantic Dream's new game, since they make games like no other developer.
02. 'The Last Guardian', for the same reasons as my top pick.
03. 'Final Fantasy Versus XIII', because I haven't loved a 'Final Fantasy' since 'X' and this could very well be the title that brings back all my affection for the series.
04. 'Uncharted 3' seems like a surefire Game of the Year contender based solely on the series' previous outings.
05. The next 'Grand Theft Auto' I want because I'm a sucker for open worlds, but I place this at the bottom because I'm not sure what direction it will go in.

For the new poll, well. Let me again first say, the next iteration will NOT be GTAV. It'll be another spin-off type title. I'm interested in it, no doubt but am kind of burnt out on Rockstar's formula. Looking more forward to L.A. Noire than that.
Versus XIII should be a very good game, and certainly looks intriguing, but again, it hasn't shown me anything to wow me, and FFXIII certainly didn't help in that regard.
QD's next title will be fantastic. I know nothing about it and am already making that prediction, but considering that we know nothing about it, it's hard to be excited for it.
Uncharted 3 is proven. That is the one. The first one fantastic, the second was phenomenal, and if ND can step it up, the third will be positively 'Hideous'. Absolutely cannot wait for it.
The Last Guardian, while certainly fascinating, unique and a must-buy title, simply cannot stack up against U3 right now. I may be singing a different tune when it releases though. Another reason for not picking it is because we actually haven't the faintest idea of a possible release date, whereas we can take an educated guess for U3.
Peace.

sony will have to wait till all the other games are done.
last i heard december 2 is looking likely.
exactly 1 month after the original US date, and its a thursday here which is when 99.9999% of games release.
does not matter though i wont be here most likely when it releases so canceled my signature edition pre order today put it towards a new 480GTX.
cant believe how much they have dropped!
bought a 470 the week before mafia 2 came out, now in the space of not even 2 months the 480s have dropped from 700 bucks to 450!

As for the current pole, I'm leaning towards The Last Guardian and FFvsXIII. I say Last Guardian because it seems to be a unique experience that I really want to get my hands on. I say FFvsXIII because I know that game will last for hours, and I've been waiting for an action rpg to play for awhile.

But, since Square's whole being now depends on Versus XIII being pure awesome, I'm going with that.
Though I'm still psyched for every other game on that list, just saying.

Out of the choices in the poll, I'd be most interested in Uncharted 3. Though I still haven't played the second one yet. I imagine it will drop in price now that the GOTY version came out. It might finally be time :)

Without any ACTUAL gameplay footage, I'm hardly interested in Versus anymore.
Never played Heavy Rain, so Quantic Dream's next project doesn't fascinate me.
UC3 all the way man, that game will blow every single game off the water.
I'm not that interested in Last Guardian but I'm keeping a close watch.

Or maybe they are allowing the MOVE some space with the unexpected successful sales. Or maybe security is the actual issue. Who knows? There is no doubt this wil be a behemoth release.
As far as the poll. I chose Uncharted: World of Deceit (lol...) as my most exciting title. Exciting being the key word due to the Hollywood movie nature of the game. I look forward to the Last Guardian as my most anticipated release because this is a game that I will undoubtedly escape to a faraway land with.
