Gran Turismo 5 Racing Into Europe On December 3?
Any potentially official news of a Gran Turismo 5 launch date gets us interested...and a little anxious, truth be told.
After the most recent delay, which Sony and Polyphony Digitial boss Kazunori Yamauchi promised wouldn't be too long, there have been no new developments concerning a fresh release date. We did hear we'd receive the new date by the end of October, which is mere days away. However, we have what could be encouraging news from the Portuguese arm of Eurogamer: it seems their source says GT5 will release in Europe on December 3 or at least between the 3rd and the 4th. Of course, the source wished to remain anonymous so we have no further information on that, but at least the estimated date is in line with the common theory. One of the widely accepted beliefs is that the delay will be a few weeks to a month, but Sony will definitely want the game on store shelves worldwide for the holiday season. Also, there has been evidence that the game is done; i.e., the delay wasn't for game-tweaking purposes, but perhaps for security/firmware purposes.
Well, whatever. Just give us that date; early December will be just fine by us. How's about you?
