CTA Digital: Helping Steer Your Way To Move Victory

If you have the PlayStation Move, you might not realize how many accessories are available for it.

It goes well beyond what you see in the stores; CTA Digital has all sorts of nifty accessories for Sony's new motion sensing controller, and that includes a sniper rifle, sub-machine gun, charging station, and most recently, a steering wheel. We're not sure if you're interested in hitting the track with Move - which has proven to be a little too sensitive in some games, like Time Crisis: Razing Storm - but at least it sounds like fun. It's a pretty simple peripheral and it's a good option, as you can actually put your hands on something that feels like a wheel, as opposed to just gripping the Move controller on either end and pretending to steer. Heck, CTA even has a pair of boxing gloves for Move, presumably to be used with The Fight: Lights Out or any other action game where punches are thrown. You should peruse their selection; they've got everything from iPod accessories to elaborate Wii-based constructions...an inflatable racing kart? Really?

When it comes to specified genres for Move, it will definitely help to have the corresponding accessories. The rest is up to the developer to nail down the interaction and control. By the way, you can toss your Dual Shock 3 controller into that wheel as well, if you so desire.

Are there any racing games that use move?

If GT5 used MOVE that would be sweet.

I imagine it would be a huge PITA to control a car with Move. I'd rather spend my money on a wheel than Move. Which i did.

There's just something that makes me uneasy about the combination of inflatables and the Move. Can't quite put my finger on it.

I CAN!!!

Unfortunately, those games are rarely released outside of Japan.

I don't understand why they made boxing gloves for Move. It's not like you're actually hitting someone.

You're missin the point here it's like the steering wheel is used for racing games, the gloves are for the fighting games, they're just cool accessories. Why would anyone buy a boxing glove or the steering wheel videogame controllers to hit or race someone for real. It makes no sense!

Yeah. I am missing the point. I still stand by the fact that you don't need boxing gloves to punch the air.

The driving wheel actually serves a purpose, I get that. The gloves don't.

:-( Just like the steering wheel is there to make you feel like actually driving the cars in racing games, the gloves are there to make you feel like you actually fighting someone, they both serve a purpose if you don't get why they made the gloves then you shouldn't get why they made the steering wheel. Well you don't exactly need a steering wheel controller to play a racing game either so seriouly WTH are you talking about????

Yeah, your Presumption doesn't make sense. Your move controller is neither a sword or shield. Does it make sense if someone used third party that is either? Face the fact. What seemed a dated trend with the wii was once again the start of one of nintendos many innovations. Not quite an eyetoy or a move, but most definitely the beginning of motion control with an object.

@ guyver try putting on a pair of 8oz gloves and swinging around. The difference is quite immense.

The driving wheel locks the controller in place, and same as you would a car you can actually steer the wheel. This product adds to the realism of driving.

Gloves on or gloves off, I can punch the air either way. doesn't make a difference. Hell, it might be easier to play with gloves off since you still have buttons to hit.

Just the way I look at it. So, Guyver, that's what the hell I'm talking about.

I can see its a great implementation of move technology for driving games after watching the demo im sure this device will be much cheaper than other racing wheels

Ha! That's a little odd. Are they going to make a different peripheral add-on for every type of game that can conceivably be played with Move, because if so, I'm calling a pair of ski-sticks for pure unwieldiness. The idea of a racing wheel add-on was already done by the Wii, and how many games use it? I think the same problem will be present here. Way too many add-ons that are used with too few games.
Peace.

I need one for GT5. The wireless logitech wheel is like $50 bucks, it doesn't have any pedals but it's wireless and sits in your lap.
If I could afford it I would get the G27 wheel

Doesn't GT5 support Move? I think so, what other racing games are there to use this with.
I'm sure GT5 will have some short of update to use move, won't MS:Apocalypse use Move.

you need this kind of stuff for motion to be successful, You also need a controller, that has buttons (@ M$).
I saw this on another site yesterday. I want to get it to pop my DS3 in until I get the Move.

Kinect=Fail!
