L.A. Noire Trailer Surfaces, Clear Emphasis On Story
We've all been waiting on L.A. Noire for quite some time, but perhaps the end result will be well worth the wait.
As promised, Rockstar has released a new trailer for the promising crime drama and although it's little more than a minute in length, we're definitely hopeful. For those of you who want the grittiness of a Mafia title with the extra polish and innovation, this could be a great option. Team Bondi has been working hard for years and their efforts appear to be paying off in a big way. Anybody else encouraged by what they see here?
It seems to feature great performances, some pretty character animation, and an engrossing, in-depth story. And maybe the most important part of the video comes at the end: that Spring 2011 estimate. It's still vague and we were hoping for a rock solid release date, but this footage instills confidence. We're suddenly excited for this one...

Yes L.A. Noire was an exclusive which is worrisome to some extent as making a game mulitplat mid development usually doesn't bode well. Look at Final Fantasy XIII, bad port to the 360 and cut content from the final game due to the lack of storage space on the 360. But who knows, maybe it will work out in the end. As i said, i really liked RDR and that was a multiplat by Rockstar, im sure L.A. Noire, will be at least as good.

And yes, L.A. Noire was an exclusive, but it went multiplatform when R* picked it up after Sony dropped it.
Peace.

Yeah, it "looks" great. They've done a great job with the facial animations but as Noir, Heavy Rain showed a greater understanding of Noire by design of angles, lighting, story and it wasn't even the focus of the entire piece.
Some Noire films, The Blue Dahlia, Double Indemnity, The Big Sleep, Criss Cross, Scarlet Street and This Gun for Hire.
Granted, it's only a trailer but I already hate what I see. It felt like Sam and Max was inspiration. I get a really bad feeling from this. I just hope I don't start hearing this is academy award worthy! Just like GTAIV...

Interested to see the gameplay now...
Killzone 3, Mass Effect 2 and LA Noire. Definately some good early 2011 stuff out there to be looking forward to.

that said, rockstar has been good at delivering quality experiences, which is far more important than looking pretty to me. I wonder if you'll be given your own characters fate with deviations from the good guy approach. Let's face it, playing the copper who lives on the criminal edge is an interesting experience. Although, if your actions are mostly out of your control, the story will most likely be very focused on delivering an entertaining ride.. Does that make sense? Haha.

most games that get a release date announced for spring end up winning up getting delayed to the following year.
this has already been lurking for so long.
if this does not release till mid next year, than when the hell are max payne 3 and agent releasing!?
max payne 3 was originally suppose to be out late last year god dam it!!!!!!!!
looks like remedy should of kept the title after all.
