Sony: No Killzone 2 At GDC

Well, the hottest rumor of the past two weeks has just fallen flat.

After Sony promised some big news at the upcoming GDC Conference, everyone started wondering if a Killzone 2 playable demo was on the way. After all, the timing would be excellent, what with the Halo 3 beta available in March. This sparked plenty of discussion and debate across the Internet, but now, SCEA Manager Ryan Bowling has effectively killed the rumor.

"No, Killzone won't be at GDC at all," he said.

Come on. It's the biggest media production in Dutch history, it failed to make an appearance at either E3 or TGS last year, and with all the hype, we had hoped to actually see a glimpse of the project. So the next question is, of course, when will we finally get that glimpse?

"The time for that game is coming and we'll have new information about it in the future, but not at GDC," finished Bowling.

Okay, we figured as much. But we had really hoped to see a little something at GDC, but now it seems we're just going to have to wait a bit longer.
