Square-Enix To Release Special Holiday Soundtrack
Last week, we promised we wouldn't go as Call of Duty-crazy with our headlines as other sources. Unfortunately, while we haven't necessarily broken that promise, we find we still have to stick to covering big news, and CoD has dominated. We can't really help that.
However, we still sort of feel that our larger-than-normal contingent of role-playing fans who won't touch Black Ops is being ignored. There's just nothin' for them recently. So, for all you old-school JRPG aficionados who could use a smile, and who recall so many of Squaresoft's gems with such affection, this is for you: head over to RPG Land, where you will learn that on November 22, Square-Enix will release a 7-track CD featuring remixes of several popular game songs. Each will get a holiday overhaul, and tracks from the likes of Final Fantasy VII, Legend of Mana and Chrono Trigger are getting the yuletide treatment. It'll cost 1,600 yen and only launch in Japan but hey, there are no lyrics here and even if there were, who cares? Music is universal, right? So maybe you'll want to import it. But at the very least, clicking on a sample of each tune might just make your day.
Let's not forget that certain old classics weren't only great for their gameplay; the music was always essential.
P.S. Make sure to check out the Golden Saucer one. LOL

so remastering the games soundtracks is not too hard, but the games is?
ok, maybe thats self explanatory but still why does $E refuse to give its fans games there use too?
honestly if $E actually did a FF7 remake in HD, it would sell so well it would make the avatar look like a B movie!
or, than, kingdom hearts 3....................
