Square-Enix Didn't Implement Beta Feedback For FFXIV
Everyone is sort of hoping that when Final Fantasy XIV comes to the PlayStation 3 next year, it'll be vastly improved over the current PC version.
Well, maybe it will be, in that the PC version is actually not much better than the beta test. This straight from Square-Enix, as they've made a confession concerning the poorly received MMO (critical average of about a 5 right now): according to Eurogamer, S-E senior vice president of software development, Hiromichi Tanaka, said that feedback collected from beta participants wasn't implemented, as the team focused on "debugging." Essentially, they didn't change much of anything so the retail version was very similar to the beta. Said Tanaka:
"We received a lot of feedback from the beta tests. The development team should have focused on shaping up the game during the beta process, but because we were really concentrating on de-bugging the game – fixing all the bugs – that’s one of the reasons why we were not able to have all the requests implemented during the beta process. That’s why we do understand the reaction from the players, now the game’s out."
Lambasted for being half broken when it arrived, FFXIV has suffered quite the critic and gamer backlash. Square-Enix is currently working on a big patch to help fix the PC version, and we still assume the PS3 version will hold all the improvements and repairs the PC version will - eventually - receive. Obviously, though, fans will be unhappy to learn that their beta criticisms, while acknowledged, weren't acted upon.

In other words, the server records your action and logs it before you get to see it... so it "appears" to have lag... but that's a HUGE issue in my eyes...

If there is a demand for something and you're not supplying it, someone else will. You're not a monopoly Square-Enix...

SE could at least smarten up it's company up 100% by buying Will Robinson's robot!
Just so it can keep telling Dr.Zachary Smith Wada.............DANGER, DANGER...

Call of Duty: Black Ops Invades Japan
While Eminem's Won't Back Down featuring Pink is used for the ads of Call of Duty: Black Ops in America, publisher "SQUARE ENIX"(which is handling the duties for Activision) is going for something more regional in Japan.
Appropriately or not, here's the trailer with Namie Amuro's ROCK U, along with Eminem's too..

CoD can sell like crazy because it's EXACTLY what the fans wanted, but what SE is trying to sell isn't something the old fans would appreciate and not something newcomers would love.
At the rate they're going, they'll be the first to fall before Capcom, at least Capcom got MVC3 coming next year.

i thought the whole point of having a beta is to test out your game, get feedback from the fans and adjust your game accordingly.
if your not going to do anything the fans request, than why have a beta?
the PC version sucks, and ill bet 2 F1 cars the ps3 version will be just as bad.
oh $E, how you have fallen from grace.

I didn't hate FFXII but I'm pretty apathetic towards it. They completely failed when it comes to attachment in a story/character sense for me. It was fun exploring though the Gambit system was possibly the most broken thing they've done since FFVIII's Junction system, well more with how hands off the game could without any effort in making it so.
The more I think about it, the more I could see it taking SE over a decade to make a PS1 or earlier era FF game, it's not a difficulty issue but a lack of leadership, direction and efficiency.
