LittleBigPlanet 2 Demo Dated, Move Spin-Off Revealed
Maybe you didn't get into the LittleBigPlanet 2 beta. If not, you don't want to have to wait until January 18 to play, do you?
That's what demos are for. And now it seems we'll get an early Christmas present from developer Media Molecule, which says a playable sample of the upcoming sequel will be available on the PlayStation Network on December 21. According to Dreamstation citing the PlayStation Blog, Sackboy fans can get a small taste of what's to come:
"...there will be a LittleBigPlanet 2 PSN demo coming your way on December 21! This demo will give everyone a taste of the new Story Mode in LittleBigPlanet 2, along with our new gameplay mechanics – including CREATE! Swing from different objects with the Grapple Hook, rescue helpless Sackbots, and experience the chaotic multiplayer fun that blows up when the competitive scoring mode is coupled with Sacboys and Sackgirls armed with the new Creatinator! The LittleBigPlanet 2 Story Mode demo will be available on the PlayStation Store on December 21, so keep an eye on the calendar."
The beta will also be expanding to more testers soon, so be on the lookout for that elusive invite. Also, in the same vein of LBP news, it seems they're planning a Move-enabled spin-off entitled, Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves...which is actually really funny. This will be a downloadable title on the PSN and will be available on December 14. It'll also come bundled with LBP2 in January, so you won't have to miss out.
Yes, the world will go crazy for the adorable Sackboy very soon.

Also, LBP2 will support Move out of the box. That is why it was delayed.
God, you are always Mr. Negative.
But then again, you're not the only one. Negativity runs rampant on this site.
I've written this before, and I'll write it again. Before I even read the comments, I know who is going to post negative comments; and I'm never disappointed.
You, sir, are one of eight or nine posters I expect negativity from daily.

The multiplayer part is much more friendly this time, heck it's crucial even. That alone has really made the beta really fun.
I love the grapple hook thingy and the sackbots are the ish!
The game has some amazing effects/lighting/filters. LBP was perfect in that, but you'll be amazed at how much more they added. Neon looking costumes for example, and the costumes themselves are so unique this time around too.
Just like LBP1 it'll be the perfect party game.

That being said, it's hard for me to get excited about the second installment.

I freaking love how the sackboys/sackgirls jump around this time. The hook's such a great gadget, but you know what truly makes this game feel so much more alive? The sackbots...
They bring out this game so nicely...

The PSN title is a Move-enabled multiplayer "ONLY" experience.
Up to four players can expect 10 prehistoric themed levels with bear skins and dinosaurs galore. One player uses the Move to flick switches and manipulate the level to help their DualShock-using friends make it to the end.
The game is scheduled to be available on the PlayStation Store on December 14, with a price of $5.99. The entire game will also be included on the retail disc for LBP 2 on Jan. 18, 2011.
As an added bonus, PlayStation Plus subscribers and some stalwart LBP supporters will be able to download the game for free on December 7.

You literally never run out of fun levels to play.
It's a stream of new levels. Expect that to grow even more (and more quickly per week) with LBP2.
I haven't made many levels either, but if you do indeed nail down a level you really feel proud about it even if it's not perfect.
