Hot Pursuit Gets Timesaver DLC: Unlock All Cars Now
Everyone is busy and everyone gets busier around the holidays. Hence, this ain't cheating...it's justified.
The first two DLC packs have arrived for EA's highly entertaining Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, and believe it or not, neither one actually "adds" anything. No, both are Timesaver Packs for those who have little time and less patience. The Racer Timesaver pack unlocks all the available cars for racers and the SCPD Timesaver pack unlocks all the cop cars. Yep, with these packs, you will get access to every single vehicle in the game, without ever having to clear a single solitary event. It'll only cost you $8, too, as the packs are $3.99 each. Of course, if you don't want to be a pansy and opt to earn your super hot cars, we understand. It's that feeling of accomplishment, right? Heck, these packs are almost like paying to see the ending before playing the game...well, almost. It's just a bunch of cars, really. Besides, don't you want to destroy the times set by your friends, who are probably still tooling around in the lesser rides?
Hot Pursuit is a darn fun game but for hardcore racing aficionados, today is exciting for a different reason...

I hated it then, and I hate it now.
That said, my wife enjoys racing games, but the high speed, don't hit anything kinds of event she hates because she's less precise on the control. She's playing it for fun, not competition, and so this may be something for her because I rather suspect she won't have the patience to do both racer and cop careers all the way through.
So I do see the other side of the coin. Still, I hate it when some n00b has the best car because they paid for it and didn't bother earning it. Then again in an online race when it's like that, the n00b is still a n00b, and it shows within about 10 seconds of the start as his super car is left in the dust by something far less exotic.

Even when I deleted the save data, he'd most of the game completed under my name so I only really was getting any fun out of the online with Ch1n00k and Deadman. So I wrote the game off and bought all the cars just for the online element. I wasn't happy about it but it was the only way I was gonna unlock any more then the few starting off cars, after deleting the save data.

Don't imagine I'll ever get it now, with NFS and GT5..plus all the other games coming down the pipeline, It's getting hard to find the time to play all the new games let alone go back and revisit the old classics.

As if they "don't have the time" ... If they didn't have the time they'd have waited for the game to be cheaper.

OK, I've got nothing against this gameat all(I loved the demo), but...
I'm really beginning to hate on all these games & places are now offering you early in-game rewards for pre-ordering there.
I mean, come on, where's the freaking pride of just playing the game to unlock all the game's rewards on your own?
I blame, & also damn, M$ for all this inferior gaming BS that's been running amok this generation, seeing how they brought on this f*cking twitcher, entitlement, mentality.
And all us who are non-twitchers should be very, very, very, worried, cause pretty soon they'll probably start wanting to only offer us all only i choice... of no actual games at all.
Just pre-orders that just buying the story-ending clip, and that is only shown on their own in-store monitor.
That way all these no-time-for-real-gaming addled chimpanzee's(no offense to any real chimps), can both, buy, & sell back, their freaking "untouched by human hand's" game in just 1 swift 7-second feeding frenzy.
More bananas for MaGilla, anyone?

no?
pass!
wont be buying this game till i can ask the car to turn, and it immediately turns, no more of that waiting list BS!
why, o why couldent criterion just make this burnout paradise with cops?
instead of spending the week blasting by cops which i should of been doing, ive been severing limbs and turning peoples insides to there outsides in splatterhouse.
such a cool game that, puts a massive sadistic smile on my face.
now THIS is the game i would make!

the dead zone is faaaaaaaaar too big!
even on the PC with wheel support, you do a full lock and it takes the car a few seconds to turn.
next time you play the game drift around the corner by hitting square, than compare it to coming off the gas than going back on.
you will notice if you hit square the tail comes out straight away, which is how it should always be, but slamming on the gas mid turn takes a while for the back to break loose.
everyone knows you slam the gas on mid turn, the back of the car is suddenly going to turn into the front, than back, than front, than back, than front again very quickly.
especially if its a muscle car!
im not asking it to be GT5, im just asking it to have different handling cars as it should.
there should be no lag in the controls, and a muscle car should handle completely differently to a exotic car.
when you have a lambo handling like a corvette you really know your in trouble!

So, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is all about living out unrelastic car fantasies...
"But what if it was for real"?
That question has now been answered in this trailer with a Pagani Zonda Cinque and a Lamborghini Murcielago Interceptor

I don't get that. I like unlocking something in campaign and then trying it out online. I've always felt that games should have the unlockables and the online coincide. You have to actually play the game to get the most out of it...but if someone is willing to shell out money to not play a game that they paid for...who am I to laugh at that business model?
