PlayStation Mag Provides Fresh Slew Of inFamous 2 Details
We've seen several minutes of awesome gameplay footage, but the info for Sucker Punch's hotly anticipated sequel, inFamous 2, has been running thin as of late.
Thankfully, the holiday issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine has one of our most anticipated games on the cover, and the feature inside is loaded with details. The article features a map that shows part of New Marais, with 6 separate locations identified, that cattle-prod weapon is called the Amp (which we already knew back around E3), the nasties that infest Cole's new city are known as "The Corrupted," and that good/evil system will return. Firstly, how you played the first game will factor into the second as inFamous 2 will detect your save info and secondly, there's at least one choice in the sequel that, after you make it, will take you down one particular path. This sort of implies there will be a reason to go through the campaign again... Also, don't forget about the collectibles: a new character named Dr. Sebastian Wolfe wants the Blast Cores that are scattered around New Marais; collect them, bring 'em to the good doctor, and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
You'll probably want to pick up this issue; it also features plenty of great quotes from many Sucker Punch employees. We can't wait for inFamous 2 and we're not the only ones.

both uncharteds are awesome... and i even prefer the first, but Naughty Dog, if you're reading this, Uncharted 2 is soo incredibly brilliant... i cant even put into words how much i love it.
bit keen yes, but everyones allowed a favourite no?

Glad the good/evil decisions are advancing in complexity so as to further alter the experience accordingly.

Or will it be like other sequels to games you start off as Cole all max out and the main villain knocks him back to earth and you have to build him back up?

And that choice you mentioned makes it seem almost as if this will have Heavy Rain levels of replayability. Oh god, I hope that there are only a few select choices, and each one has vastly varying outcomes, when combined with the previous ones. That would be downright mindblowing. Is anyone else reminded a little bit of Mass Effect based on what we're hearing about this?
Doesn't matter. inFamous 2 will be one of the best games of next year. I'm calling it now.
Peace.

lost both my good and evil saves when my ps3 went belly up.
oh well, still got a while till this releases so i have plenty time to built them up again.
tis what you get for not backing up your HDD, and for relying on sony to actually make something that works...... BIG MISTAKE!
only had my Z series TV just over a year, and last night that went belly up too!
3 thousand dollars down the drain!!!!!!
cant wait to see what the combat is like, i hope they have not let the superpowers take a backseat in favor of the cattle prod.
the powers is what made infamous so much fun, flinging a enemy in the air, sticking a grenade too him, frying him with electricity than hurling him towards another enemy.
so much better than striking him with a electrified metal pole!
hope they have more boss battles too, infamous had the best boss battles they were so unique and forced you to use your environment instead of the usual dodge the swinging arm attack almost every boss has used since the beginning of time!
most overused attack ever!!!!!!!!
