Journey's Mystifying Official Trailer

Anything thatgamecompany does is worthy of our attention. After flOw and Flower, they have become an elite developer for the PSN.

We don't have a release date just yet and there are some gameplay questions that need clearing up, but it's always nice to have the first official trailer for Journey. You can see it below and if you haven't already read our preview, we suggest doing so for the sake of info. As you might expect, the game is very unconventional and quite original; it has been described as "an exotic adventure with a more serious tone," and you will explore an ancient ruined civilization. During the course of your adventure, you will meet other travelers (real people online), but there is no voice chat; you must communicate another way. It's extremely interesting.

We can't wait to try it. We're still not 100% on the mechanics or actual purpose of the game (what happens when we reach the goal...?), but we do notice something besides sand and desert in this trailer. There's darkness, a bizarre creature, and driving snow, which means we'll get a bit more variety than we had expected. But leave it to thatgamecompany to make something totally mysterious...

"Flow" and then "Flower" I was thinking their next game would have been something that has to do with the continuation of the word, like "Flowering" Or something..Journey doesn't fit at all! lol

The games from this company have always been entertaining. Looking forward to seeing what else they're going to come up with.

I wonder if there even is a goal. Maybe it's just an endless journey surrounded by mystery and wonder. Either way, get your bongs ready because this looks far out.

I never tried Flow or Flower. I feel like I may have missed something decent.

This looks incredible. Something about the art style reminds me of ICO, probably the loneliness aspect off it. I'm psyched for this.

very cool. looking forward to this title. I remember saying "I'll just give flOw a try" and having the next several hours just disappear on me. Same deal with Flower. These guys are really great at creating a surreal experience that just melts the time and stress away.
