Jaffe Confirms: Twisted Metal Might Get New Vehicles Via DLC
These days, everybody wants to know what sort of "post-development" a team has planned. You know, for downloadable content and extra goodies.
And when it comes to a game like Twisted Metal, we all know what we'd want, if it were possible: totally new characters and vehicles. Well, the good news is that according to a bunch of new Tweets by David Jaffe, it's obvious that Eat Sleep Play will be working on exactly what we desire after the game releases:
"What's a fair price to ask for a brand new Twised Metal vehicle download post game ship?"
"Yeah, if we do DLC vehicles, they are not just skins. They would be whole new 'characters' each with 2 new special weapons, animations, etc."
"Not saying we would not do skins as well but we have not announced either. I was just curious 4 myself what a new TM car is worth 2 yall."
Oh man, use your imagination...they'd need to come up with something that fits in with the sadistic, freakish nature of the roster. Despite the classics - my personal favorite was always Warthog - there's always room for new characters/vehicles, and we can't wait to see what they come up with. A fair price? Hard to say...maybe it depends on how well the game turns out.

Even at 8 bucks a pop, he releases eight more as DLC and I'm spending another 60 dollars. Of course, Jaffe could bundle them and give us a discount on the bundles. Maybe a little discount for PSPlus members, sweeten the deal.

Although I guess we did have a discussion a few months ago how the price of games hasn't really changed much over the years. Maybe DLC is the answer to not having to increase the initial price of the game. If you want more out of the game, it's your choice to pay for it. If you're happy with what your 60 bucks bought, then ignore the DLC.
I suppose the next generation of gamer will be lucky if they even see physical media. Everything from day one will be DLC and add-ons...

On topic; tough one coz if we give him a price, that'll egg him on to create DLC at a price whereas if we dont play into his hands, he may till support the game but not charge for DLC

This is the kind of DLCs I'd buy! Not skins, avatars, or other cosmetic only DLC.
