Sackboy Displays Athletic Side In LittleBigPlanet 2 Beta
If you've been involved with the LittleBigPlanet 2 beta test, you're likely familiar with what is possible.
If not, you've probably been hearing whispers about mind-blowing diversity. Well, here's another example of that: this latest video shows off Sackboy's athletic side, with ingenious creations featuring various sports, including racing, football, hockey, some futuristic shooting game (is that a sport?), track and field, and basketball. The capability of this game is just amazing; the sheer amount of development tools means you could spend eons making stuff. It really brings out the designer in all of us, doesn't it?
Lest you forget, LBP2 arrives on January 18, which is now less than a month away. It's the start of a pretty big winter so you'll have to prioritize...will Media Molecule's sequel make the top of your list? Or will you save your cash for later games? Regardless of personal preference, we gotta say that LBP2 might offer the most bang for your buck of...well...any game in freakin' history.

Only thing I'm skeptical about is that the game will be TOO big and have too much stuff to work with, making the creation side of the game a little daunting for newcomers or casual players.
For people with a creative mind and an artistic edge, this game would be perfect. As for me, I'm happy to download and play everyone else's creations and maybe, just maybe, draw a little inspiration from that towards making my own level.

The mini-game worlds alone are out of the this world... I'm much more into platforming than into mini-games but the mini-games I played in the battle are amazingly well done.
My favorite was one where go around in a well made jungle and swing around the trees like Tarzan collecting points, cool stuff.
I love the Basketball here haha, can't wait to play the other sports.
January 18th will have 2011's first GOTY.

LBP was ok, im enjoying the PSP version sony Cambridge made.
what worries me is it looks like there added so much crap into the game none of it is properly polished.
it looks like GT5, 10 different things in there but they spent so much time getting everything in there they get to the end and say o sh*t it took us so long we now have no time to polish everything to make sure its as good as it could be.
thats what worries me with this, i fear its going to be another one of those jack of all trades master of none games.
as ive said many times id much rather 1 glass of purified water, than 1000 glasses of muddied water!
