MAG Available On PSN, Full Game Trial For Plus Members
We heard about the possibility a few days ago and now, it has been confirmed.
Firstly, according to an update at the PlayStation Blog, the entire in-depth experience will be on the PlayStation Network on December 21. Yeah, that's basically today. For the same price as the Greatest Hits physical media version - $29.99 - you can sign up for one of the three factions and work towards dealing with more than 250 players on a battlefield. The downloadable version is v2.10 and comes "complete with all the bells and whistles" thus far. Furthermore, to celebrate the release, the rumored full game trial will be free for PlayStation Plus users. "Members can play the game and any of its original modes at no charge for as long as their PlayStation Plus membership lasts." The only limitation: a Level 8 character cap. Still, you will continue to earn experience if you keep playing; so when you purchase the full game later on, you'll finally get credit for that experience.
If you haven't given MAG a try just yet, now might be the time. It's quite the online multiplayer experience.

When I played the Beta I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am hooked on Bad Company 2 online at the moment. If anyone has it you will see me on there most nights and weekends for a few hours.
Other than that Killzone 3 on the horizon. SO to fit MAG in is going to be tough really. Not to mention picking up GT5 sometime next year...
I just wish there was a enough time for all this entertainment... how do people lead normal lives... I must ask... especially avid gamers...

Qubex, if you ever want to show me the ropes in MAG I'm all for it. Unless you don't have a headset of course. Can't stand those fps texters.

it would also be nice to not have to switch the disc to go from gt5 to mag and back. just launch the game.
i guess the best part is that there will hopefully be more people online for me to shoot and if they are only level 8 it will be easy targets.
level 8 really is nothing at all in this game. you will just unlock domination at that point. cant lead any squads or anything. but just to increase player interest, i hope it works

I played it when it first came out & was mottled by constant lag & server drop outs, my connection was fine too. And having 200+ people running around all at once got messy & completely cluttered. The more players in one game equals the more "eat my balls" comments you will recieve from gimp mic kings.
Credit to the developer for sticking with it & retailing the game at a budget price though.

@maxpontiac, they improved it slightly but it still isn't as engrossing as something like BF:BC2 is. One of the biggest gripes about MAG is all of the weapons are seriously under powered.

And even though everyone seems to be all about online multiplayer for the other titles, I think that the fact that there is no single player campaign does influence the sales of this game some.
Most of the people who will be playing this one are more then likely Zipper fans from the old SOCOM's. Sure there are some new FPS fans who love this game, but I have a feeling the majority are long time Zipper supporters...

Also I think its to do with brands people trust, like kids will just keep buying COD because they know it. MAG certainly deserves more custom, hopefully the Full Game Trial will provide that.

Also with the amount of players in the game, its not like your locked off to one part of the map, as long as you push forward on Domination you can help out other Platoons.
Hows everyone liking Escalation? Managed to get into my first Interdiction game for like 2 monthes the other day, thats a really awesome game mode too.
