Quick inFamous 2 Update, Big Announcements Teased

It's easily one of our most anticipated games of 2011 so any update from Sucker Punch is appreciated.

Ken Schramm at Sucker Punch Productions provided Cole fans with a quick "how d'you do" post at the PlayStation Blog, where he says the game's protagonist will be in the limelight quite often. "Whether it's exciting new powers, gruesome new enemies, or a new comic book, there's a lot in store for our hero/villain Cole MacGrath." He also says the team is working to make inFamous 2 "the best action game experience" possible and we can expect "some big announcements" in 2011, too. We know the player will once again be able to make moral decisions with Cole, but many believe this process will have a more significant impact on the game's outcomes. Also, Schramm posted a look at Sucker Punch's favorite superheroes, if you're interested. You can tell that past superhero creations were inspirations for the creation and growth of Cole. Dude's a definite bad-ass.

inFamous remains one of our favorite games of the generation thus far so when the follow-up arrives, it may be time to drop everything and just play. Can't wait.

InFamous 2 will definitely be a contender for GOTY, that and Uncharted 3 of course..

Definitely looking forward to this. Until my HDD went all Kellogg's on me, I was replaying Infamous on hard. Infamous 2 should be an excellent follow-up to what is/was a relatively unique and fantastic original game.

Well now I'm wondering what the big announcement will be. Co-op perhaps? Will there be a sidekick in this game? Are they adding some kind of online feature? I certainly hope the announcement is better than just "hey, we have a comic out now."

I don't think it will, there a lot more PS3 owners now and Sony is doing a better job with letting us now(advertisement), all though it isn't nearly as good as Microsoft, everywhere you look there is something with Xbox 360 on it. I was at the store yesturday and theyu had a huge stack of Pepsi half racks that had the Xbox 360 and Kinect on them, But they have money to throw away. I wonder if they even care about there costumers as much as Sony does.

If the announcement has to do with multiplayer then let's hope it's storyline co-op and not just another competitive multiplayer announcement! Y'all know I'm not against multiplaying, but christ... If it's patched on every single game from now on then even I will miss the good old days with singleplayer gaming...

Heck, I forgot that I still need a few stunts too

But I did get every drop point & every shard.
I even found the famous 1 hidden shard early on & quite by accident, and it was only because I wanted to check up the visual graphics of the whole city from being atop of the highest building.
And that's what actually started my quest for shards which I might not have even bothered with otherwise.

But it's been those frigging timed satellite up-links that keep driving me completely nucking futs!

***Spoiler alert****

And for the life of me, I can't get my one & only last frigging up-link left to do.
It's the one where you leap across that high-multipiped power plant(?), onto the electrical line & cross over the canal, then side jump over to the bulding blocking the next up-link that's somewhere beyond it.

And that's about where I wind up dying everytime trying to get either, over or around that damned building when the timer keeps zeroing out on me. I've even tried several other different routes also, but so far, they've all just wound up taking me further from it.

After the first 500 recorded attempts, Sucker Punch should just make that unholy %&%$%^ up-link a free "gimme"!

ARRRGGGG!

If you got the one that was high up that so many had a problem with, then I'd suggest checking near all the docks. You'd be amazed how many have missed a shard there. Especially the west side of the second island.

Yeah like Alienange said, check all the docks, even the busted up ones.

Especially the broken-up docks that are out there a ways in the water, that where I found a lot of hidden ones.

InFamous 2 and some Sly Cooper would be sweet. This game better impress me because I had such a great time with the first and my brother is playing it right now. Yet, with all the stupid announcements that plagued our excitement it's left us with a slightly bitter taste in our mouths. Looking forward to this one Sucker Punch!

Another franchise going multimedia? Oh well, at least video game comic books are usually better than movies. inFamous was a brilliant game with glitches and imperfections, and here is there chance to improve on it. Now, I don't care too much about the new powers, I will enjoy them when the game comes out, just give me a release date please.

I'm liking this game more and more. I knew I should of asked for inFAMOUS for Christmas. I played it before but didn't Finnish it(I borrowed it from my brother, he rented it). I think I should take a break from GT5 and run down to pick it up before sony slams us with the amazing exclusives in 2011. It's 21 days until LBP2 so if I think I should be able to get into inFAMOUS and get my dose of "the real driving simulator' before then. I might have to hold off for LBP2 bc I want to play through both MGS4 and UC2:AT again. but thats ok LBP2 will keep you building, designing and customizing for a long, long while.
I'm ready for some awesome news about inFamous 2 and It better not be comics.

I'm pretty excited for inFamous 2! It's going to be a first day buy for me. Even if they put competitive multiplayer, I wouldn't mind. Not saying I would like it, but inFamous 2 is too big a title to disregard just because of multiplayer.
But, who knows? It could be the announcement of Sly 4... Hm... Seems just perfect since the release of the Sly Collection has done so well...

Yep, as shown in the preview vids, they'll be in there, but as context sensitive moves a la Uncharted 1 and 2 or NGS2, as opposed to the QTE in GOW or Heavy Rain with the explicit button/stick indicators.

InFamous 2 is definitely my most hotly anticipated title. I mean, I know Uncharted 3 will be unmatched, but inFamous is a personal favorite franchise of mine, with only Uncharted (Amongst Thieves) being next.
