Go Behind The Scenes With Insomniac And Resistance 3
There are a ton of great games heading our way next year, and one of them is Insomniac's Resistance 3.
After debuting at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, we've been aching for more information and footage...so it's this new behind-the-scenes footage to the rescue! It's seen at the PlayStation Blog, where they talk about the interesting development process thus far, and what they're planning for the final push in 2011. They even go into detail concerning the creation of those awesome GamesCom and VGA trailers (one was a full-on Hollywood-type production, remember?), and it's always fun to listen to the Insomniac guys. Also, make sure you check out their recurring Full Moon Show podcast; you can subscribe via iTunes if you like and if you're a true fan, you can follow the team on Twitter and Facebook. For our part, we're just totally psyched for both R3 and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, both of which should be among next year's very best offerings on the PlayStation 3.
By the way, just as a reminder, stay tuned for our Q&A with Insomniac concerning All 4 One; we might just have to involve Resistance 3 somehow...

first they drop the yearly release scedule that was working so well for them.
than they drop ps3 exclusivity.
and now they have dropped there best series, completley changing them.
especially R&C, what was, still is, and always will be my favorite series.
but whats with the spin off?
come on developers, what is it with yous and changing your famous series!?
can we have one series that does not get turned onto its head?
just one?
pllllllllllllllllease??????????

Resistance 2 was equally as disappointing, it looked inconsistant visually, the bosses were horribly scripted & the co-op was shunned out the door which was a poor decision.
The fact that R3 is bringing back co-op campaign however gives me some hope that Bungie & Co wont wipe the floor completely with this franchise. Each R game thus far has never been as polished as Halo or Killzone. If R3 disappoints me a third time i won't go near any future Resistance title ever again.

Resistance 2 visuals were absolutely better then the previous title. I didn't see any inconsistency there at all. The bosses weren't horribly scripted either. Although I agree that getting rid of the online co-op is a bad idea. Most people played it strictly for online co-op.
Bungie can't wipe the floor with this franchise. From the moment I played the first and the second the game felt like Halo. Halo Reach literally feels like Halo with a call of duty feel in regards to the online component.
Really seems like this series just isn't your cup of tea...

Everything about R3 tells me this game is going to be much darker then R2 with implementations of features from R1. Throw in some new features/weapons and this game is going to be unreal..
One thing I did notice is that the graphics are worlds better..can't wait for R3
