LittleBigPlanet 2 Pre-Order Deals
LittleBigPlanet 2 is only a few weeks away; do you have your copy pre-ordered yet?
If not, you can do the research and pick your favorite pre-order deal: check Conflicting Gamers for a list of retailer-specific incentives; you have your choice of Amazon.com, GameStop, Wal-Mart and Newegg. Amazon boasts a slightly cheaper price tag of $57.99, plus the pre-order bonus of Ratchet & Clank and "Even More Animals" costumes for Sackboy. If you pre-order the Collector's Edition ($79.99), you...well, you don't get anything special besides the goodies in that special edition. GameStop offers a PSN voucher for the "Clu" Sackboy costume (from "TRON: Legacy"), along with "Even More Animals" skins. If you decide to pre-order at Wal-Mart, you get "The Great Gonzo" Sackboy costume (The Muppets), and although you don't get a bonus for pre-ordering at Newegg, you do get a slightly cheaper price; $56.96.
So, if you haven't yet dropped your deposit on what is guaranteed to be one of 2011's best, now's the time. And don't worry, we won't forget about Media Molecule's newest innovative creation come December, when we have to start thinking about GotY Awards again. ...despite Uncharted 3's expected mastery.

And while they are at it.. I don't see why Sony cannot do the same thing within HOME. Now that would be even more of a marketing push. Create an ad. Recreate it in LBP then also recreate it in HOME. Triple threat. That would appeal to so many audiences. HOME could use the exposure.

Oh and I don't believe Prehistoric Moves comes with LBP2. It's essentially standalone DLC for the Move.

i was worried they would loose focus of the strict platforming style that made the first so good, and i was sadly right.
why have they changed the game from a multiple themed levels to single?
why is every game these days so god dam repetitive!?
the original had you starting off doing one thing, than moving to another, than another, than another within a single level.
this one has you doing one thing for 20 minutes than thats the end of the level.
how boring!
why are developers turning games into the most repetitive things possible?
all MM had to do with this is introduce new levels, thats it.
they have the luxury of being in such a deserted genre that they just had to milk the original and this would of been great.
but no, they had to change it so much, into a repetitive boring POS.
why, o why do games have to be so god dam repetitive!?

Uh huh...I thought you took it back because "it was to hard"?
The games focus still remains on platforming. I don't know why, but I don't think you even played the demo. Just a hunch.
"why, o why do games have to be so god dam repetitive!?"
I don't know. I could ask the same of you.

i thought thats what checkpoints were for?
and no, i never played the demo.
thats why i know there were 3 levels available, and the last one i played had you controlling a cat, a dog and a rabbit if memory serves me.
thats why i did not like it, you just do the same sh*t for 20 minutes.
how is that fun?
everyone loves ice cream, but it dont take a brain surgeon to figure out you would get sick of it if you had to eat it for breaky lunch and dinner for a whole year!
eh, maybe people enjoy doing the same sh*t over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
but i certainly dont!

I tried the demo of lbp2 and still not that into the type of game, does that mean the games bad, no way, if anything that game could be GOTY, although I might still get it cause the non platforming levels are interesting but I probably can't you know money and such and saving it for KZ3

Btw "cowpatty" (hah) You complain about everything. I recebtly said the only game you dont complain about is the AC series. But the other day i seen you complaing about brotherhood. Your a lost cause. If you couldnt play LBP i dont know wat to say. Its far to accessible for everyone. Its one thing if you just dont like it because its repetitive. Its another to deminish it because of the demo. Give it another chance when you can play the full version.

...and i know you are all excited for U3, understandably, but, don't forget that TLG is most likely gonna take the GOTY as it's new and fresh and will be the critics darling like the others.
Also...do not forget Deus Ex 3 or even PROJECT DARK....From Software defeated Uncharted once, they can do it again.
If Ni No Kuni comes out this year too....my god.

They are now advertising LBP2 on ITV3 movies, at the beggining and end of each advert on each film (there goes sony's annual advertising budget.). And all it was was sackboy jumping up and down on a button with it igniting some holographic material saying "wax on, wax off" with stephen fry narrating. From the looks of it, it wasnt even gold game footage, choppy animations. But really, showed nothing of the game. they should have had "play, create, share" montage, that lasts for all 4 adverts (like 1/4 for each adverts.). Oh well, blame Sony for terrible day one sales; like last time..(in the UK atleast..)

But really, who came up with that idea? It just terrible. If anything its stephen fry's voice people will remember, which doesnt exactly help LBP2 sales. BTW wheres bens week in review? Isnt that on a sunday?

How can you review it when the game is based around user generated content & the servers dont go up until the 18th (well...they'll start working around the 20th probably). I like that their first impressions are that good but, really they've seen nothing yet (unless they got into the beta...).

The guy basically says "I can't be arsed to get into the create tools, but yeah they're cool." Seeing the potential is one thing, but that doesn't mean you can give a review on it.
Mind you I played his level from LBP1 and it was god-awful, not to be rude but it was. I just find it wrong that someone passes judgement on a game's creation tools when they haven't given it half a chance. To be fair he said it himself it doesn't deserve to be on the servers. But that doesn't cut it IMO, & after the in-depth review's of Ben & Arnold who can take more than atleast a few weeks before publishing a review, make him look like he's in the wrong job. OKAY DONE.

Anyway, NowGamer UK gave LBP2 a 10/10 along with other distinctions. I'd say the game is going to be on my collection very soon!
