Job Listing Indicates Medal Of Honor 2?

We were in the minority when we praised Medal of Honor, which is why we wholeheartedly endorse the idea of a sequel.

The game did sell relatively well and EA has professed its sincere desire to support the franchise. Furthermore, it seems developer Danger Close might be cranking on MoH2; a new job listing cited by IndustryGamers says the team is looking for an AI engineer for an "unannounced AAA first-person shooter title." There's also a request for "exposure to multiplayer and/or co-op development," and that's important because DICE handled the multiplayer for last year's MoH reboot. So does this mean Danger Close will take full control of the entire production for the sequel...? EA had said they wanted 3 million in sales to guarantee a follow-up effort and at last check, the 2010 effort had sold around 2 million. But that's enough, right? For our part, we have plenty of recommendations and suggestions concerning a sequel, because while we remain happy with the reboot (happier than most), we certainly see room for improvement, especially on the technical front.

And don't forget that it might once again be a very controversial project. You may recall the whole Taliban issue...

The character animations were my biggest issue. Oh, and that goat. I mean wtf? I really enjoyed its authenticity and the multiplayer is really fun.

I agree that a sequel is likely. EA really doesn't have a choice actually, the market for shooters is just too big to ignore and MoH is their answer to CoD madness, so I bet they stick with it.

I liked the reboot but would love to see a longer campaign with more technical polish and bigger multiplayer maps with better weapon variety.

I think they need to add the ability to change your rate of fire in the MP. Also, split screen and co-op would be welcome additions.

i totally agree with making a MOH2 as long as they can make the game way harder, campaign longer, and fix all the graphical bugs MOH had. i think MP was good, but it needed something more, like more classes to pick from and improvement on the hit detection and damage of each gun. other than that the game was great to me.

Didnt EA say something about or aroubd the subject of danger close not delivering on a technical stand point on what EA' idea or outcome should have been? Idk maybe not. Maybe im mixing something up. But i agree as solid as the gameplay was and how really great te single player was, it needs a little work. I think my biggest issue with the game in all honesty was the length. I dont gripe bout it much cus i loved that campaign. But my problem is EA kept saying the campaign would not be hindered by the MP as two teams were handling the two game modes.

I like what danger close did i really do. I thought MOH was the best shooter last year hands down. But this is where danger close proves their worth if this turns out to be MOH2! I hope they pull it off i want this series back bad! Always will be one of my favorites.

LOL! I emailed Danger Close and EA to advise them to use another engine other than Unreal after I finished playing Medal of Honor. If they had used the Frostbite engine for the single player too, the game would have been that much better. Lets hope they took my email into consideration though I doubt they did.

I really wanted to pick of MoH, but once it finally arrived. I just never got around to picking it up. I guess I thought it would be... better?

I really in need of a Shooter fix, I played one in a while(since COD4MW). But Homefront and KZ3 will fix that.

I don't see why they wouldn't make a follow up. MoH did sell well, like Ben said. It was actually a pretty good game. MoH2 is bound to come and with some improvements, it can get a lot more people to jump in(I was hoping MoH would of stole some COD fans and slow some sells down.

It's to early to say anything about the game, but I'm all ears for more information about this game.

MoH was promising, and I'd still love to play it, but time is really not on my side with these games. I simply cannot keep up with some of the older games, let alone new releases. I'll just keep forging on though.

From what I gather, MoH was just about the closest thing to being a legitimate contender against CoD to come out. Battlefield was a possibility, but I feel it doesn't really have the same brand recognition. Using the Frostbite engine, or another of EA's proprietary engines, such as the Dead Space one would be cool, and would serve to raise my interest a bit. But first and foremost is the need to increase the game length. I know that quality is more important, but it shouldn't be too difficult to bump it up to y'know ten hour without too much difficulty.
Peace.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!
MoH is by far the best shooter i have played this gen!
pales in comparison to black, but for a 2010 game its amazing!
best part about it is it really makes you feel like your in the army, unlike all of those other military shooters.

I for one, am certanly glad to see MOH holding it's own.

Now they just have to stop letting people tell them who to call their enemy this time!

Or else they have us all fighting against a small band of....

.....fat rainbow colored TALItubbies.

Fat rainbow coloured talitubbies!? Brilliant!

I tried MOH I really did but I couldn't get past the quad bike/ snowmobile section (I forget which) because each time a guy finished talking I would find myself two metres above the quad unable to move.. Also the multiplayer wasn't too hot it's like they tried to combine COD and Battlefield and Battlefield just doesn't work on the small maps they gave.

Yeah, I too had similar problems with the quad and not being able to move. It only happened to me once though, but it stands out as it was during a tier 1 time trial.

Loved the game, I’m doing replays right now for 100% on the medals. Funny thing the goat skinned in for me. I like the online play as it goes, as I have figured I'm more the BF player VS. COD, I have yet to buy BF2, but I want to for the Vietnam pack. I played all of these on computer back in the day.
I really enjoy being able to pop Taliban with the weapons employed currently. I loved the story, loved the helicopter and all the rest. I really like the composition of the maps for online. I wish it had made more money and there were additional maps to come. You usually will not find me doing a second play through on anything. Snap to target does get a little boring for single player and I wish we could slide to cover online
If this was a prequel for future episodes Im in.

Lol! In one scene there is a goat on a hillside. The artists have forgotten to give it any eyes. Either that or it's been the victim of an ISA double thumb eye gouge!

I just finished MoH this morning. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Much much more than Black Ops. Looking forward to the next one - if it's like this one - but more polished and longer. Great game - very under rated, IMO.

Just finished MOH, I liked it more than Black ops or any of those games. More engaging single player. I"m actually going to play through it again before I send it back.
