Wall Street Journal's "Unsung" Gems Include GT5, GoWIII
It's always important to pay respect to those titles that don't have the benefit of a widely recognized franchise name.
For our Game of the Year Awards, we have two separate categories for the titles that fell under the shadow of Call of Duty, Halo, Final Fantasy, etc. The "Most Overlooked" and the "Most Underrated;" pertaining to those games the critics liked but went unnoticed by the fans and the games unfairly deemed mediocre by the critics. And it seems The Wall Street Journal has a similar list. This one appears to include titles that the mainstream populace might miss as most all hardcore gamers are quite familiar with the likes of Gran Turismo 5 and Mass Effect 2. Those of us who consider gaming to be our primary hobby might think it strange that God of War III is on such a list, as it was lauded by critics and sold quite well for an exclusive title. However, it remains true that the majority of those who indulge in interactive entertainment are casual partakers...and hence, the necessity of such lists.
With the Journal's super wide readership, this sort of promotion may allow the best of the best - not just the best of the biggest - to become household names. Might take a while, of course, but it's still nice to see.

So you mean to tell me that I will have to do races over and over just to get to level 40? Not really liking that aspect of the game. They could have done a better job with that one. Anyone else feel this way?
