Rumor: S-E To Announce New Fabula Nova Crystallis Title
Final Fantasy XIIIAfter the registering of that FinalFantasyXIII-2TheGame domain, we've been on the edges of our seats, awaiting some sort of announcement or clarification.
Well, maybe we'll get the news within the next few days. According to the Unofficial Final Fantasy Site (citing Japanese source FF Reunion), no less than 7 titles will be on tap for today's 1st Production Department Premiere Event...and one of those will be a "new game in the Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy XIII series of games." It seems both Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII will be on display, and the third title in the aforementioned series is denoted by a question mark. That could very well be Final Fantasy XIII-2, if the rumors are true. It may seem fast, given that FFXIII is only about a year old but bear in mind Square-Enix has said they had a lot of ideas left over; perhaps they've used those ideas in a sequel. And while many didn't seem to like FFX-2, it was still a great game in its own right (in my opinion, anyway).
The fans are gonna want S-E to make a few changes to the FFXIII structure and gameplay if FFXIII-2 becomes a reality, though. The number of suggestions made by long-time fans must number in the tens of thousands...hopefully, the developers listened.

Bu then you have the second part of the game that barely feels even related to what you were doing in the story but is full of high adventure and great battles.
I'm at 92% of the missions and I can't help but wonder why on earth SE didn't just incorporate this awesome gameplay into the story. Why leave it for the end where those who are dumbfounded by the story will never see it?
A FFXIII-2 has the potential to be great. There's no doubt in my mind. I think SE just got bogged down trying to figure out what gamers want this gen instead of just putting out their normally blockbuster rpgs.

less announcing, and more releasing please!
i swear to god if $E announce a new game before they release versus 13 i am personally flying to there headquarters and slapping all this stupidity out of them!
O, unless its a KH3 announcement of course.

So, with seven titles purported to be there, what will they be?
Three from FNC:FFXIII:
Versus, Agito and one of those I've written above.
Four others:
KH3DS, Dissidia 012... What else are possibilites? KH3, FFXIV-PS3, FFXV, Dungeon Seige, Parasite Eve 4, New IPs? Too many options for me to thin them out.

Also, Agito has been renamed to Type-0. I wonder why...
Also, FFXIII-2 is set to launch this year? S-E, releasing a game in the same year as the announcement? How much did they cut from XIII to be able to push it that quickly?!

I was also rather surprised that FF XIII-2 is coming out this year. I get a feeling that they're just putting on here some of the stuff that did not make it to final version of FF XIII.
They renamed Agito to Type-0 as they said it doesn't even feel like the other games in the Fabula Nova Crystallis umbrella. Interesting that it's coming out in 2 UMDs. Must be a massive game!

2 UMDs is cool, and at least we know that Type-0 should be something distinctly different.
It's all up to you now. I need to go to sleep, but I reckon I'll be overjoyed when I wake up in the morning to find a plethora of S-E news, which hopefully makes it seem as though they're back on track.

I am actually more excited with Type-0 (aka Agito) with the announcement that it'll ship with 2 UMDs. Not to mention the fact that they also reserved Type-1, Type-2, and Type-3. This one's quite weird, but admittedly rather interesting.

It seems FFXIII - Agito is now called FFXIII- Type-0, well i guess i prefer it to the previous title though it does sound quite side storyish.
I'm hoping to hear much more on these titles in the next few days, i'm now actually tempted to play through FFXIII again for the first time since completing it.

Also with FFXIII-2 i see there is an image with lighting all dressed up, I hope this game does not turn as immature and girlish like X-2. The logo has lighting and something of an alter ego, what this means, one does not know.

I'm thinking, (wild theory) That teh story of XIII is sort of a fable to tthe world of Versus XIII and maybe some of the characters of XIII are decendants to some of the lead characters of Versus XIII. If there is no relation what so ever i'm going to be quite annoyed. Versus should be called FFXV.

If I am wrong, and it is XIII-2, the internet will explode in a sh*tstorm. But SE is good at that; let us hope it is not all sound and fury this time.
